haha knicks gave pistons there 13th lost meaning no chance of 70.
more importantly spurs and mavs are only 1 lost behind the pistons now
Sat Mar 18, 2006 1:32 pm
Nice win for the Knicks, keeping the Bulls achievement of being the only team to win 70 or more safe for another year. Between that and the first round pick this year, Isiah and co have certainly been generous towards their former rivals.

WHAT KNICKS WON!?!?!?! AGAINST PISTONS!?
Sat Mar 18, 2006 2:02 pm
Yeah, pPistons almost lost to Toronto too. But this istotally different, losing to the KNICKS is real weird, 'cus the Knicks suck ass.
Sat Mar 18, 2006 2:03 pm
sheed got tech'd out then mdyess missed 2 freethrows at the buzzer that would have tied the game
Sat Mar 18, 2006 2:33 pm
I am surprised the Knicks denied anybody of anything.
Sat Mar 18, 2006 2:34 pm
Wow, that is a big upset. I'm planning on watching the Pistons-Bobcats game tomorrow and I'm now looking more forward to it. I might get to see a basketball game.

I don't know about that. They seem to deny their fans happiness and enjoyment quite frequently.

Don't count on it.

Rip and Sheed were both Ejected...Rip was unintentionally ejected, he want to throw the ball to the hoop but it hit the shot clock and went into the stands...I hate that ref..

Nothin could put a bigger smile on my face than the Pistons losing full stop. The fact they lost to the Knicks makes me more happy than I am on Christmas morning!

Good balanced game for the Knicks... 6 guys in double figures. I guess this might have been what Isiah THomas wanted to see but I doubt he saw anythnig with that Stevie trade cept for having a go at LB. Ah well... In related news, good to hear Starbury and LB 'set aside' their problems... I just hope they will win a few more games though.
EDIT: Wat was with all the tech fouls?
Sat Mar 18, 2006 4:09 pm
Considering this is one of the only times the Pistons didn't have their entire starting 5, I would say the Knicks are lucky and nothing more.

it IS the only time... we have had the same starters for the whole season...

You have to play with the cards you're dealt though. Obviously fortune was smiling on the Knicks but it's not like they blew the Pistons out or the Pistons were completely handicapped. Yes, they caught a lucky break with Hamilton's ejection but they still delivered (for once). More often than not they still would've found a way to lose even with the Pistons down one of their stars.
Sat Mar 18, 2006 5:28 pm
Finally no more 72 or 70 talk jeesh. Now there is the 69 benchmark left but that should end soon I guess. HURRAY.
I just learned something. The Knicks can win?
Sat Mar 18, 2006 5:41 pm
Maybe it was those green jerseys (which were very ugly, by the way).
Sat Mar 18, 2006 6:43 pm
wow...look at the teams that have beaten the Pistons this season: the Hawks, the Jazz (twice!), the Lakers..now the KNICKS!

Watch them get into the playoffs and lose in the first round, lol

The Jazz and the Laker's aren't THAT bad... but yeah... Just had to say that.

Wasn't it similar when the Bulls went 72-10? They lost games against some shit teams they should've destroyed.
Sat Mar 18, 2006 6:48 pm
I dont think they will lose in the first round. Maybe the east semis or finals though. I like how the Heat have come on late in this season and the Pistons seem to be cooling waaay off. I would rather finish strong compared to having a fast start.

Losses That Year
Orlando Magic - 1
Seattle Supersonics - 1
Indiana Pacers - 2
Denver Nuggets - 1
Phoenix Suns - 1
Miami Heat - 1
New York Knicks - 1
Torronto Raptors - 1
Charlotte Hornets - 1
Only 2 good teams on there, haha

Classic case of falling asleep against a team you think you can beat lying down, and then waking up too late to salvage the game.
Sat Mar 18, 2006 7:57 pm
Yes.the bulls record is still untouched
