Today against Seattle,Center Chris Mihm of the Los Angeles Lakers injured his right ankle. With this key injury will the lakers be able to make the playoffs?.
Mon Mar 13, 2006 1:26 pm
Yes. This the time that either Kwame Brown, or Andrew Bynum will have to step-up, and I think that they both will. Well.... I hope that they do.
Mon Mar 13, 2006 1:28 pm
well i hope you're right. should Kwame brown begin to play well, he could actually start again. idk about Bynum, but lots of potential for him.
Mon Mar 13, 2006 1:29 pm
i'd rather see Bynum get some action, rather than Kwame Brown
Mon Mar 13, 2006 1:29 pm
Oh, Bynum will, all those things that Kareem has been teaching him, it'll happen.
Mon Mar 13, 2006 1:41 pm
Even if they make the playoffs the Spurs will knock them off in the first round....
Mon Mar 13, 2006 2:10 pm
Really? No way..

Ah, Andrew Bynum the MySpace boy
annyway, as for the Lakers.
Maybe they'll make the playoffs, considering Kobe is in top form I guess if he keeps producing they could keep winning.
COULD keep winning.
If it's not serious then their chances are higer.

Not taken away but staying in the top eight did just get a little tougher. It depends on whether New Orleans can pull themselves out of their tailspin. With Sacramento back above .500 and surging, losses are starting to become more costly for the Lakers. The race for the final seeds in the West is somewhat closer than the East, the Lakers could very well fall. But they do have a slight buffer at the moment.
Mon Mar 13, 2006 2:52 pm
I still think Utah will come on and get the final seed. That would put Sacramento at 7...
If Mihm is out for any length of time, the Lakers are screwed. Bynum isn't going to come up big, and Kwame Brown is a joke. He can't play consistently, and that's what they will need to retain their seed. Not only that, but the Lakers have an extremely difficult schedule remaining...
Mon Mar 13, 2006 3:10 pm
Mihm is getting better every game for LA, he was a big part of the victory over SA. Kwame unfortunatelly is not playing well, he can't even handle the ball inside, talk about scoring... What Lakers will get with him as a starter for the next few games is board +2-3ppg, 4to's at least. Lakers are out, they will be replaces by Sac as they move closer to 7th seed.
Mon Mar 13, 2006 6:23 pm
Anyone who thinks Bynum will be getting playing time... is just stupid. Jax won't play the kid. Only thing that will happen is that Cook's gonna egt more minutes, Geroge will too. Odom will shift to the 4 and Kwame will be unbenched. It's not liek Chris hasn't been injrued before.
I still have faith LA will make the playoffs... Can't wait to see that last game of the season. The possible 'Win to make the playoffs' game!
Mon Mar 13, 2006 7:33 pm
what could turn out to be the most important game of the season for the lakers is coming up at arco. should be a good one.
Mon Mar 13, 2006 8:11 pm
depends how the others step up..i hope Kwame does BIG TIME
and the Lakers next game in Sacramento is HUGE! I hope LA plays with that same intensity they did the last time they faced the Kings. I really don't know their problem..
Mon Mar 13, 2006 9:54 pm
No , they won't.
Anyways , I would like to thank Mitch Kupjack for trading Kwame Brown for Caron Butler. While Caron Butler picks up 30 points Saturday against the best team in the NBA , how much points did Kwame get? Thanks , Lakers!

Yea i agree... WTF mitch!..

i meant with caron butler should have never been traded. not that they wont make the playoffs.
Tue Mar 14, 2006 1:39 pm
funny the lakers season might be determined on chris mihm
Tue Mar 14, 2006 1:53 pm
without mihm there are more shots for kobe to take, so more points, kobe is all that matters not mihm
Tue Mar 14, 2006 2:18 pm
If the laker's were planning to make the playoffs cause of chris mihm being in the lineup...then they delusional.
Tue Mar 14, 2006 5:29 pm
it really doesnt matter if they do or dont make the playoffs, they have no chance of winning the finals anyway
Tue Mar 14, 2006 5:43 pm
they'll make the playoffs, but people really really need to step up. hopefully in a couple weeks, they'll start kwame at center, lamar at PF, jim jackson at SF, kobe at the 2 and smush at the 1. i can't wait to see JJ play, he'll definitely provide some scoring punch.
