Not surprised.
I think his best years were in Detroit (01-02ish)
Your thoughts?

A decent role player for many years. I've got Sonics/Nuggets game from a couple of years back on tape where he and brother Brent matched up throughout the game; somewhat unique, since other brothers (like the Grant twins) generally did not match up defensively.

So much for me posting this link and tricking people into thinking it was barroid.

he was a pretty good player.....never a star but really he had a little bit of everything in his game. Sometimes he'd make a Jason Kidd type pass and sometimes he made silly mistakes, but overall he was good to watch and he played with passion.

At least he got all the financial security in the world.

sad to see him go, but I will always remember him with the Kings
The Barry Family Line (hope I didn't forget anyone):
Rick > Brent > Jon > Drew > Scooter

I will always remember him with the Rockets. He was so funny.

Sad to see him go
He was always one of my favs coz he played with passion and for the love of the game not for the pay cheque
Now only Brent left in the league of Rick Barry's kids...is their grandkids coming up next? LOL

I liked Jon, great perimeter player much like myself.

He was a solid role player throughout his career. He didn't put up any major numbers, but he was able to hit some shots off the bench for any team. He's been on some pretty good teams too.

I knew of Rick Barry's fourth basketball-playing son, but didn't know his name was Scooter.

yep, I'm pretty sure I read it somewhere....I'm positive it's Scooter as it was such an unusual name that it stuck....he didn't get drafted or had a sniff of the NBA like the other 3....
