S. Jasikevicius suffers the sillyest injury

S. Jasikevicius sprained his knee in the rookie-Sophomore game, when, in the second half, he stepped on a photographers foot acsidently.
This happened, cause the photographer had his foot on the court and Saras didn't see it. Now he might miss some Pacers games. Crazy things happen.

What a way to get an injury!

Tough break for Jasikevicius and the Pacers. But the silliest injury still belongs to Dino Radja back in the 1997 season: stung on the lip by a bee, during a game.

I wonder exactly how long he will be out, Pacers cant affort more people to miss time.

The silliest and grosest injury i have heard of is when gooden had a severe case of boils..

It's the curse of the Pacers, even if you avoid injury during normal playtime, it will find a way to nail you.

How come everytime someone steps on another person's foot they sprain an ankle? I had it happen all the time when I played soccer, but never sprained anything. Why don't players wear an ankle brace or something?

Depends whether they have their ankles taped, the severity of the roll/twist and whether they come down on it.

Actually it's worth mentioning Pervis Ellison missed time for the Celtics that year after breaking his foot having dropped a coffee table on it. Not a good year for the Celtics...then they still miss out in the Duncan Sweepstakes.

lol..i got a stupid injury b4 too..it was when i went to pick a ball (out of bounds) then i accidentally stepped into a small hole (playin in a garden court)then i sprain my ankle..and that was fuckin painful and it is stupid to get thi sinjury too..i can't play like 2 weeks after that injury...damn that hole..

the starting pg for our team had a stupid injury too, he was angry about the refs, so he kicked the wall which is padded, but dont know why, he got a sprained ankle

Maybe because you knew you were going to step on someone's foot but you reaction is too slow to do anything to stop it?
Knowing that you play soccer, in playing soccer your eyes are focused on the ball or on the ground. Upon seeing in a short moment that you are about to step on someone's foot, your body/muscles react to prevent any damage to your foot because it is already too late for the body to stop your foot in stepping on someone else's foot. There's a difference on knowing you are about to step on something from having no idea on what you just stepped on, there's a big change with the way your foot reacts with all that weight being supported.

Actually, it's at least a 60% chance of injury every time i've seen it go down. It's usually on rebounds.

If you weigh 240 lbs and come down from about 24 inches in the air with both hands on the ball (so you can't balance w/ your arms), you will put all 240 lbs on your ankle ligaments when you come down with the foot rolled over.

I think it was Andrew himself who posted the weirdest one (might be someone else though). If I remember correctly it was a Charlotte Hornet who sprained his thumb or some other part of his hands because of excessive video gaming.
