David West-
04-05: 6.2 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 43.6 fg%, 0.8 apg, 68 ft%
05-06: 16.3 ppg, 7.6 rpg, 50.4 fg%, 1.4 apg, 84 ft%
Smush Parker-
04-05: 3.0 ppg, 0.8 rpg, 0.9 apg, 23.1 3P%
05-06: 11.4 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 2.9 apg, 40.3 3P%
Pau Gasol-
04-05: 17.8 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 2.4 apg, 1.6 bpg
05-06: 19.5 ppg, 9.5 rpg, 4.1 apg, 2.34 bpg
Chris Bosh-
04-05: 16.8 ppg, 8.9 rpg, 1.9 apg
05-06: 22.2 ppg, 9.5 rpg, 2.7 apg
Ricky Davis-
04-05: 16.0 ppg, 3.0 apg, 3.0 rpg
05-06: 20.8 ppg, 5.3 apg, 4.7 rpg
Obviously, at this point David West is running away with it. He's just taken his game to another level.
I put them in the order that I think they deserve it right now. Smush has been a huge surprise, and even though Pau's numbers haven't gone up as much as other guys have, he's become a dominant player this year, something he's never really been.

BORIS DIAW!!!
Mon Jan 02, 2006 7:48 am
David West is a very serious candidate for me, and no way Pau Gasol's making the cut.
Where is Boris Diaw?
Mon Jan 02, 2006 7:50 am
Oh yeah, and Boris Diaw too.
Mon Jan 02, 2006 8:07 am
No love for Iguodala?
Mon Jan 02, 2006 8:13 am
I think Diaw, Ricky D., and Smush will be the strong contenders for MIP.
Mon Jan 02, 2006 8:15 am
i am dumb but i really want to know what is MIP
Mon Jan 02, 2006 8:16 am
Most imporved player, duh.
Mon Jan 02, 2006 8:19 am
OKAY I AM DUMB NO NEED TO HURT ME RIGHT?? WHY DO YOU GUYS HATE ME SO MUCH...
Agree with everyone on Diaw but dun you guys think Al

Most
Improved Player
Anyways, I do think David West is gonna take it. Along side Chris Paul, he's the reason that the Hornets are doing this good in the season.

boris diaw

Yes, I agree. Someone who's numbers have gone down in points, rebounds, assists, steals, free throw percentage and field goal percentage really deserves the award of most improved player.
This has got to be the most idiotic thing you have ever posted, congratulations.

Tony Parker is a worthy candidate of considering, but I don't think he deserves it.
Chris Bosh for MIP, of course.
But Smush Parker or David West went from nothing to something, so I'm hoping that either one of them will get the award.

No, something to nothing is what Eddie Griffin did this year, Smush and David went from nothing to something.
Yes, Travis, I'm kidding

Pau should make the cut, if you have actually watched him play this year compared to the previous years, you'll know exactly why. Just take a look at his numbers even. He is almost a 20, 10 and 5 guy now and he is also averaging 2.3 bpg. Now if you known Pau since he been in the league, you'll know that he can be very soft at times, but this year he has realyl stepped his game up. He already has 14 double-doubles this year and that's just one short of KG's 15 and to top that the team is playing well. I'm hoping he can boost his point and rebounds average up to 20 and 10 though and with the way he has been playing the past few games, that just might happen. I wouldn't say he would win, but he deserves to be mentioned.
Pau Gasol-
04-05: 17.8 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 2.4 apg, 1.6 bpg
05-06: 19.5 ppg, 9.5 rpg, 4.1 apg, 2.34 bpg

Diaw or West

Mafia, god you're annoying. Really, you are. I know Pau should be a cantidate, but you're just simply annoying.
Parker or Diaw will win it.

^ quite an convincing argument.. and if they don't?
Indy's list plus Diaw are good lists. I'll wait for the stat guys to come listing the stats and say who "really improved" instead of just realized his per 40 minutes stats now that he got the PT
Mon Jan 02, 2006 11:22 am
Oh come on, if Griffin got consistent minutes he would he amazing. He is like top 5 bpg and he only plays like 20mpg.
Mon Jan 02, 2006 11:23 am
Its either Smush, Diaw or West. I'm guessing Diaw is gonna win it, hes been a key part for the Suns.
Mon Jan 02, 2006 11:39 am
Smush Parker!!

It wasn't posted for the sake of a discussion thus it wasn't meant to be seen as an argument.
I would wager something on it, but what's the use? Folks just don't have the balls to pay up after the loss.
Mon Jan 02, 2006 11:57 am
Ok, Jackal let's settle with some wager.
If I lose, I'll cut....
...nah forget it. I'd like to keep my other ball if I lose that Pistons wager.

or let things go
if you come up with a suitable wager, something fun, i'll have a bet with you that Parker will not win MIP
