Wow! I didnt expect this.
Seattle aint just gonna wait around for him to leave, at least I dont think they will. I think he may get traded before this seasons deadline, if not, in the offseason.
Fri Nov 25, 2005 8:25 am
Man , I really like Rashard , I hope he finishes his career in Seattle .
Fri Nov 25, 2005 9:48 am
It's all downhill for Seattle. First their coach leaves after having a great season with the team, then they lose Daniels and James and now looks like Rashard will be packing his bags soon.
Fri Nov 25, 2005 9:58 am
he probably wants to leave because they're not doing that great right now.
Fri Nov 25, 2005 10:11 am
I would much rather have Rashard lewis then Lamar Odom.
Fri Nov 25, 2005 10:43 am
Sucks for Seattle. A lot of teams can make good use for him. I mean he can shoot, he's athletic and he has the height
Fri Nov 25, 2005 11:12 am
i dont get it, why would you come out and say something like that to the media? surely its just asking for trouble within the club, or is there something im missing...
hopefully he comes to pistons

if he wants to accept like 1mil a year lol...
Fri Nov 25, 2005 11:47 am
haha. well, most people cant keep their mouth shut. or they just dont care?
Fri Nov 25, 2005 11:59 am
trade him for Lamar Odom. At least he's cocky and confident. Everybody I see LO playing he's scared of shooting the ball, RL is not.
Fri Nov 25, 2005 12:30 pm
He'll come to Toronto!!!!!!
Fri Nov 25, 2005 1:48 pm
hahahaha. then charlie villanueva will say theyr'e the new/younger david robinson-tim duncan-sean elliot combo
hahaha
Fri Nov 25, 2005 2:05 pm
i don't this this either, why say this now? why not next year? There's no point in saying this, this year unless he wants to be traded. It seems he's jealous of Allen's contract.
Fri Nov 25, 2005 3:40 pm
Seattle did majorly f-up the off-season.
They lost McMillan.
They lost Casey to Minnesota (although he's having problems there).
They lost their only perimeter defender, Antonio Daniels.
They've made Vlade useless by not extending him, so Vlade assumes he's gone after this year and only cares about playing time to improve his next contract, a lot like Bonzi in Memphis.
Amazingly, they've gone from one of the best in the league at long range shooting and rebounding to the worst in both.

Again, this is from the most trustworthy source of "realgm"... Man, someone's blowing wind up your pipes again...
Fri Nov 25, 2005 9:16 pm
if this is true, then I would love for him to be traded to the Jazz so they can have a Lewis and AK47 combo + Deron feeding them
but who can they give in return (i hate boozer)
meh, we can only fantisize

Yeh but if u add up the times they are right compared to when they are wrong....u would get like a 10-1 odd.
Fri Nov 25, 2005 10:59 pm
So where of the half a dozen teams is Spree playing for again? Or where did Garnett get traded to last summer???
Fri Nov 25, 2005 11:49 pm
He's going to get the max from somebody in 2007.

i cant c him getting the max. i love his game and all but i cant c a team spending the max on him though i do believe he will get alot of money jus not the max

If that's true, I really don't care for his attitude. I remember a couple of years ago when he claimed to be insulted with the Sonics offer and wanted a $100 million contract, comparing himself to Kobe and claiming that he was approaching the same level. He's somewhat closer to deserving such a big payday now but he's not up there with the likes of KG, Shaq, Kobe, T-Mac, Duncan and so on.

why do you guys prefer one of the other?
odom's skillset are ideal for the triangle. i don't think phil will be dropping the triangle offense anytime soon

People prefer Lewis over Odom because they aren't really taking skillset and how well a player plays in a system into account. Personally, I'd rather have Odom since I always like quality passing big men.

After seeing what guys like Larry Hughes, Michael Redd and Joe Johnson were able to attract in terms of salary, there is no doubt in my mind that someone will be open to paying $86-$90 million over 7 years for a player like Rashard Lewis.
Sun Nov 27, 2005 9:06 pm
No doubt, I wouldn't be surprised if he does get it. I just don't think it's a good idea to pay potential. Lewis is fairly established, but that kind of money suggests he's going to get a whole lot better than he already is, or is already there. But to be fair it's not really as bad as the fuss he made a couple of years ago, when he was far less proven.
