Pacers v Bobcats

Thu Nov 17, 2005 7:58 pm

What happened? I didn't see the game obviously, but the entire Bobcats backcourt was great.

Felton 18/10, Rush 35 points, and to a lesser extent Bogans had 14... who was Ron Artest supposed to be defending?

Artest was guarding Brezec of course

Pretty much the Pacers' heads weren't into the game, but that's not a very good excuse.

They were even without Brevin Knight (kudos to Felton), and they still blew em out. I'd like to see Indy's comments.

If I had just watched that game without knowing anything about either team I wouldn't have thought the Pacers were a great team that just played poorly, I would have thought the Bobcats were one of the more superior teams in the league. They came out with such an incredible aggression and passion that we just couldn't withstand. That's an enormous problem when you can make the Charlotte Bobcats look like championship contenders. Yes, they played well, but we should not lose games to the Bobcats. I'll give these guys one more month, and if we aren't playing like a team that can win it all, I say make a move for Garnett. Some people are ready to make a JO/Tinsley/Granger for Garnett trade now, which would be more then enough to get the deal done, but I would rather give them some more time to try and gel. If this continues major changes need to be made immediatley. We should beat the Cats by 20+ on friday.

Why would you want to trade O'Neal, Tinsley AND Granger? You'd definitely lose some serious depth if you trade away those guys just for Garnett.

KG is a great player, but I think that's giving away too much.

I'm not sure how much it would take to get the deal done. Plus Minny would probably throw someone else in as well.

Whatever the case, I don't want to think about a deal like that right now because I'm confident this team can turn it around.

Dealing too much for Garnett? I don't think so.

Fri Nov 18, 2005 12:55 pm

Garnett's healthier than O'Neal so it's a very fair deal....probably favours Indiana actually even though Granger can be a nice role player....

Fri Nov 18, 2005 12:59 pm

First of all...

Why would the Timberwolves want Tinsley when we already have 3 point guards (Hudson, Jaric, Carter)?

Secondly, the Timberwolves had a chance to draft Granger and they obviously saw something they didn't like in him. Tinsley and Granger have known "injury problems" and Jermaine O'Neal is a great player but not the caliber of Kevin Garnett. Kevin Garnett is just simply on another level, perhaps two levels above Jermaine O'Neal.

Fri Nov 18, 2005 5:13 pm

maybe the twolves were looking for a SG who could come in and contribute immediately nstead of SF in granger?

A Jermaine/SJack trade for Garnett and someone else is possible too although I sure hope not...

Because Tinsley is better then all 3 of them and that makes Hudson expendable.

I don't see trades like this going down.

On the game though, it's not THAT much of a surprise....Bobcats are deffinately one of the most hard working teams in the NBA. They achieve incredible results given their roster.

Are these trades just wishful thinking by random fans or are they rumored somewhere? I honestly can't see the Wolves giving up Garnett anytime soon...

Considering that Garnett is incredibly unhappy in Minnesota, and the idea of him being possibly traded is widely accepted even among Minnesota fans, its not so far-fetched.

Garnett is "incredibly unhappy in Minnesota"? Really? Where have you heard that? Because he said management handled the Sprewell and Cassell situation poorly? What about when Garnett said he likes Coach Casey and he likes the new team? You never hear people talk about that.

Seriously, I think people are looking too much into that little interview. He was talking about LAST YEAR. None of that stuff was directed towards this year.
