Jay Williams not coming to Toronto

Sun Sep 25, 2005 2:51 am

The Toronto Star - The three point guard invitees means an end to Toronto's dalliance with Jay Williams, the former No. 2 draft pick trying to come back after missing two seasons following a motorcycle accident.

"Jay has decided to go somewhere else," the general manager said. "We just cannot get in a situation where we can guarantee him anything.

Too bad he couldn't join. Good luck to him whereever he is going.

Out of the tree teams that were interested in him Houston, Miami, Toronto, H-Town is the only team left i guess.

yezzir i really hope he signs here (Y)

Houston is the best place for him. He will be on a contending team that doesn't necessarily need him to produce early and give him time to recover. If he signs with the rockets expect a trade to happen. As of now thr rockets have 16 players...
