Hooray for Lue, so the Hawks lineup is looking like this:
PG: JJ | Lue | Ivey
SG: Childress | Stoudamire | Delk
SF: J.Smith | Williams | D.Smith
PF: Harrington | Williams | Pachulia
C: Pachulia | Edwards | Collier

That is what I call a "shitty roster syndrome". Lets be fair, the only true guards on their roster are JJ, Lue, Ivey, Stoudamire and Delk. The Holy Four (Harrington, Joshes and MW) are all SFs. This team isn't going anywhere until they draft Oden with their first pick two years from now.

That's a terrible lineup. This team is staying in the bottom cellar. Let's compare that lineup to say, Miami, and you'll see the difference

That line-up is too young. Expect them to be on the bottom again...

Why the hell do they put JJ at the point?
Wed Aug 31, 2005 5:41 am
I don't know, but they signed him to a max deal to be their point guard.

Idk who 'they' is..but
Joe Johnson can play point guard. I doubt he'll play point guard though and Josh Smith isn't going to start over Marvin. That guy is 'guessing' that's not what the roster will actually be like.
Wed Aug 31, 2005 5:56 am
They already said they signed JJ to start at PG.
Wed Aug 31, 2005 6:03 am
I saw somewhere that they will put Josh Smith at PF and start Marvin Williams at SF.
I think they can get a few more wins than last year, but they still will be at the bottom...
Wed Aug 31, 2005 6:06 am
I think they'll win the NBA CHampionship and go 16-0 in the playoffs. Zaza Pachulia will be named League MVP, All-star MVP and Finals MVP.
Wed Aug 31, 2005 6:08 am
Salim Stoudamire will score 117 points in one game and win the league scoring title.

Um...no. We're thinking realistically here.
Wed Aug 31, 2005 6:17 am
Yes, Joe can play PG... if I'm right, he played PG in the last season for the Suns when both Nash and Barbosa were injured.
Wed Aug 31, 2005 6:19 am
He has never had to play PG for 82 games and 30+ minutes per game though.
Wed Aug 31, 2005 6:22 am
Now he will be playing

Are you sure he will be playing now?

great news! that means lue won't be signing with the lakers
Wed Aug 31, 2005 5:33 pm
fgrep15, why do you put Edwards over Collier? It's a shame that unskilled guy has been signed for 2 years and $2M, almost twice as much as Salim Stoudamire

They have to use all that cap space for something...

I'm not guessing, as of right now, that's what it's supposed to be. My sources were the Hawk fans on RealGM. Obviously training camp will iron things out as to who's starting etc, but for right now, that's the most probable lineup.

I was just putting them, didn't really note the order between those 2.
I saw somewhere that they will put Josh Smith at PF and start Marvin Williams at SF.

Contemplation. They were also looking to trade Al Harrington, but as of right now, Marvin will be coming off the bench and backing up at both forward spots.
