Six year contract...hopefully not for 100 mill or wathever

With this agreement, the 76ers have made good on their promise to re-sign free agents Dalembert, Willie Green and Kyle Korver. They also now have one of the highest payrolls in the NBA.

Oh, crap

drex u posted this at the exact same time as me

great move....

yeh it sucks that we have a high payroll

Mon Jul 25, 2005 8:45 am

Wow, two posts at the same time. I'm gonna give Drex the advantage since he has 2 more views than cwebbiverson does.

So, is this good news for Sixers fans?

Mon Jul 25, 2005 8:52 am

Of course is good news. He's a promising player...now if he's in a semi-normal contract (4-6.5 mil/ year) then I'll feel a lot better :P

Mon Jul 25, 2005 9:02 am

Well, I was thinking about the cons of price they're paying him, which could be bad news for Sixers fans.

Mon Jul 25, 2005 9:06 am

shit, now i posted in the other thread cause i didnt see this one...anyway, Sammys one of my favorite players and an extremely talented young guy. hes a solid 10+ and 10+ given the proper playing time.

I hope Marc Jackson don't play more minutes than Dalembert.

Mon Jul 25, 2005 6:32 pm

They keep Dalember', YEAH!
They also now have one of the highest payrolls in the NBA.

Trade Webber. Problem solved.

Good decision, the right decision. Great decision if it isn't for the max as previously reported.

Last season Marc was producing for us on a nightly basis, and Dalembert was still developing. Hopefully now Sammy is on his way toward becoming solid, or pretty close. I've become a Marc Jackson fan. :mrt:

Sixers will be lead by Iverson and Webber. (Y)

defense wins championships

AI, AI2 & Sammy :cheeky:

Wed Jul 27, 2005 10:37 am

i think it's a stupid move by his agent to not get him to visit the hawks, who probably would have offered him the most amount allowed, forcing philly to give him nba max

AI, AI2 & Sammy

TEAM defense...

Wed Jul 27, 2005 10:50 am

You left out Webber!

Really? All Webber has been is a headache with weak knees who's past his prime. Hell, as a Philly fan, I like Kevin Ollie more than CWebb.

Wed Jul 27, 2005 4:55 pm

C-Webb on defense?
I would rather see Webber play off the bench.

Wed Jul 27, 2005 9:03 pm

The mindless NBA fans are neverending.

No matter how effective webber is when healthy, there is still knocks on his game. No matter how he plays hurt he is still a crybaby.

Jelousy is a motherfucker.

Philly may have overpaid on Sam, but I'd take this in a heartbeat over Clevelands spending on Zydrunas. With Dalemburt, Iggy and Korver, and guys like Iverson and Webber leading them, they could be one of the top teams in the east next season.
