He's got a lot of experience:
An assistant with the Sonics since 1994, Weiss has been supported by key players, including Ray Allen, according to the News Tribune.
An original Sonic, Weiss came to the team in the expansion draft of 1967. In 1977, he began his coaching career as an assistant with the then-San Diego Clippers.
He has been an NBA head coach three times -- San Antonio (59-105 record from 1986-88), Atlanta Hawks (124-122, 1990-93) and L.A. Clippers (27-55, 1993-94).
Don't know much about him otherwise, though. How do you think he'll fit in as a replacement for McMillan?

I know he's over 60 years of age. I don't know if he'll be durable enough to make it past this season.

He could be a tough-minded workhorse... like Jack LaLanne

I read some quotes where basically the whole playing squad were hoping he would be the coach because he's something they're all used to.

Well, he can't hurt Seattle...
