I was thinking about a few things this morning, while checking back at how the 03 draft was planned....
What If the Raps took Wade instead of CB4? Would have wade developped well with Carter? Would Shaq have gone to Miami? If not, where would have he land... Would the Rose and MArshall deal went through... And the Carter one?
IMO, If Wade goes to Toronto, Heat takes Hinrich. Carter tries to play along Wade, and Wade beecomes a pass first PG. Rob doesn't trade for Marshall and Rose, so the starting 5 looks like: Wade/VC/MoPete/JYD/Davis. And Carter will be happy playing with a nice PG that feeds him huge alley-oops passes. But as soon as Wade's contracts ends, he leaves.
Shaq would still go to Miami, and would team up with Kirk Hinrich, who is a better shooter than Wade, so they wouldn't need Damon Jones to rack the treys when Shaq is triple-teamed, so they wouldn't sign him and he would stay in Milwaukee. Rasual Butler would start at the 3, and become a pretty nice player i guess...
If Damon stays in Milwaukee, they win quite a little more than with Mo Will at the 1, so they're not in rebuilding mode, so they keep KVH and don't get the no1 overall.
So in Toronto, after a few years both Wade and A. Williams leaves, Wade beacause he can't score his 24ppg while being a pass first, and Alvin because he doesn't get the playng time. I guess Wade would end up in Houston and Alvin Williams in LA.
So after a few years:
Toronto: Milt Palacio
/VC/Mo/JYD/AD
Miami: Kirk/Eddie/Rasual/Haslem/Shaq
Milwaukee: Damon/Redd/D-Mase/KVH/Joe Smith?
Houston: Wade/Bob Sura/T-Mac/Howard/Yao (pretty strong aint it?)
LA: Alvin/Kobe/Caron/Lamar/Divac (not bad either)
I'm having a lot of fun changeing the future

Yougi, those are some nice fantasy calls, but I prefer not to work with 'what if...' scenarios in life. Even if it's just for fun.

Wade in Toronto would not have been any better than Bosh here. We'd have less rebounding and shot-blocking but better offense.
Frankly, the Raptors' offense isn't the problem half the time, it's their inability to shut teams down (either on the outside or from inside) that makes them lose and Wade wouldn't have really helped.
