I'm not too sure about Sammy, but if it's him versus some bum that Philly will undoubtedly find for his replacement, I'm all for it. I wouldn't be adverse to starting Marc Jackson if he can keep up the consistent numbers he showed off last season.

Many of the qualities that made Brown the No. 1 pick in the 2001 Draft still exist today. He's young, athletic and big.
Many? Isn't that all of them? I suppose he's in the top 10 because he's still an intriguing possibility given he's still young enough to "Jermaine O'Neal" for some other team. But assuming those players are indeed in descending order I'd place him at 10th.

Kwame Brown is indeed disappointing, but it would be great to see him to "Jermaine O'Neal" at another team.
I want Tyson Chandler to stay at Chicago because I want the young team to stay together.

JON's situation was pretty different in Portland, everyone on the team including management gushed about how great he was, but it's damn hard to give him minutes ahead of the young Rasheed Wallace. They tried experimenting with JON at Center and it didn't work out, he's an aggressive defender and got into foul trouble, and at that time all Portland cared about was someone to guard Shaq.
Washington, OTOH, has never been 1 man away from the NBA championship, and has given Kwame just about every opportunity. They would have loved for him to be their main man for a long time, and he's gotten every chance to show his stuff.
I think Vitale was dead on, this isn't track & field this is basketball. Athleticism doesn't always translate to ball skills. Heck, look at Iverson, look at Duncan...these guys aren't exactly Mr Universe candidates.

seemed like KB was doing well.. he pretty much owned the bulls in the playoffs then he got suspended for whatever reason

I think that Iverson is a not a good example of a non-athletic person. But I agree with you in the rest
