I wonder how KG feels about that. He's probably glad he's not getting PJ, but it seems like nobody's impressed with Silas these days.

Hey Riot, how do you feel about this?

I have a feeling he is going to like it because its his team getting the coach  But seriously, theres no telling in what he will do beacuse he has never been a real NBA coach before. I think it'll be kinda hard for him to adjust to that position unless he turns out to be a Rick Carlisle or Lawerence Frank (who I think is overrated still). Should be interesting though.

I'm very, very excited about this move. I've heard only good things about him from some Sonic fans I've talked to and from articles I read. I watched his interview on ESPNEWS today and he is very well spoken and very organized. He is defensive-minded, which is what we need here in Minnesota.

He was a huge part of the Sonics turnaround and is one of the more respected assistant coaches in the league. I'm glad he is getting his shot in Minnesota.

I'm sure Kevin is fine with the selection. Casey said Garnett has 0 input on the coaching vacany, he put all his trust in McHale and Taylor. I think that is a great thing, Garnett is usually too attatched to players to get involved in the front office stuff. I think Garnett and Casey will get along just fine.

I was hoping Casey or Whittman would be the next coach, mostly because I'm a big fan of Whittman and I've heard a lot of good things from Casey. I did not want PJ because I heard a lot of bad things about him and I do not want a Spurs cast-off. We are not the Spurs! We are the Timberwolves!

Like I've said all along, we are just reloading this off-season. We'll be back to the contender we were a year ago. I'm confident that Garnett will come back healthier and so will Cassell. I'm confident that all the players will come back determined and I'm confident that the front office will make the appropriate moves to help us contend.

Didn't one of his players in college get busted with an envelope full of money with Casey's name on it or something

Edit:

Casey left Kentucky in 1989 after an envelope, with Casey's name on it, containing $1,000 in cash was sent to recruit Chris Mills.

Yeah he was in a little push-pop back in the day.
