Steve Nash..

Thu May 19, 2005 2:09 pm

is not white.
He is BLACK

Why?
He was born in South Africa so he is African, hence he is black.

Pot, booze, heroin, I'd do all those if it got me next to Lindsay Lohan! :twisted: :twisted:

Thu May 19, 2005 6:38 pm

:?

Only black people live in Africa? Hell, Charleze Theron is black from now on, she's born there after all.

What kind of stupidity was that? :?

Thu May 19, 2005 10:12 pm

South Africa's different, it's colder there. They're all mostly white people...

are you serious?!? :roll: :lol:

I can't be completely sure, but from memory I believe that about 80% of South Africans are black :wink:

I think it's mostly white people. I had a friend who lived there for how many years. He lived all over the world actually, his dad was an expat

Fri May 20, 2005 2:27 am

Yeah it's mostly white there and it's also mostly white in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Manila, Tijuana and Sao Paulo. :roll:

:lol: This is just retarded. It's not colder in South Africa, and it's not mostly white people. Their's a lot of white people due to previous colonization, most other African countries "moved" the white people out after they got their independence so they could take charge of their own country, but South Africa did not.

Also no, Nash is not black, he can be African, but he's not black. Being born in Africa doesn't make you black, it's like saying a black person born in North America is white :lol:

Fri May 20, 2005 7:07 am

dave matthews too :)

lol the direction this thread has gone is pretty damn funny

so if i'm a citizen of a certain country, say france, but my original background is a mix of filipino, chinese, spanish, does that me french too :lol:

Fri May 20, 2005 7:22 am

i nominate amphatoast for a place in the all jason-duncan team

Fri May 20, 2005 8:31 am

:oops: was not me who posted it, must of been my brother. I didn't log off and had a window open to the forum so he must of decided to be a ass and post this. Sorry about this.
And technically just because he was born in South Africa doesn't mean his ethnic background makes him African.. if both your parents are puerto rican and u was born in the USA, you not going to say your white.. you going to say your hispanic.

Fri May 20, 2005 8:44 am

That's the most used excuse ever. Not doubting you but even GOAT pulled that one. :mrgreen:

That was what I was trying to say. I did go a little too far when I said it's mostly white but what I actually wanted to say was that there are more white people in South Africa than people would like to think. Because someone says something about Africa they immediately think of black people. cwebb-sixers is alone on the cold part though. Have no idea about the weather there

I'm inclined to believe 'toast on this one. It's too out-of-character.

I will put this topic to rest....

Code:
from 2001 South African census....

The 2001 census provided five racial categories by which people could classify themselves, the last of which, "unspecified/other" drew negligible responses, and these results were omitted. Results for the other categories were:

    * African/Black - 79,0%
    * White - 9.6%
    * Coloured - 8.9%
    * Indian/Asian - 2.5%

Whatever...I'm just trying to make the point that there is a lot of white people from South Africa, sorry I didn't look over my geography first but I though it'd be colder because it's close to the north, like all those countries in South America. But EXCUSE ME, I guess I was wrong... :roll:

:lol: what's the difference between "African/Black" and "Colored" people?

Sat May 21, 2005 8:36 am

They have a tint of red and/or yellow in them. :P

(I'm not being racist, it's a joke.)
