Are these people at RealGM on crack??
They dont need to trade him, they were one of the best Eastern teams till after the all-star break, and a collapse(which i could see coming, cause there best player and leader is 20 years old) in the second half of the season and missing the playoffs, doesnt mean ya trade ya franchise..........he makes some good points i guess..............but NO!
give it time, sheesh!

that's the piece of precious the cavaliars have..
who knows he's gonna evolve into a super superstar.. one day...
+ it's too early for him to be victorious..
he's still need have alot to learn.

This is the stupidest shit I have ever heard. He won't go anywhere unless he demands a trade to be made or he becomes the next Vince Carter (Toronto version) lol you never know but I dont think he'll take that route.
Chicago has some good players to give up for Lebron.
Dallas: by not giving D Nowitzki, there is not chance whatsoever he'll pull a trade.
Golden State: not giving your 2 best players (J R and B Davis) and giving just role players >>>> are you kidding me? no way in hell
Porthland: they dont have anybody
Sonics: same as above and Ray is too old to be even considered a good trade value.
NY: lots of nobodys except for Marbury.
Conclusion: man I think this realgm is a freaking joke i will never read their articles again unless im extremely bored.
Thanks.

The only way LeBron will leave is if he asks to and that will only happen at the end of his rookie contract... I doubt he will leave Cleveland....
Thu May 05, 2005 7:20 pm
dudes still a kid. He's bound ot get a ring sooner or later wherever he plays.
Thu May 05, 2005 7:37 pm
Better to trade him early, rather than get nothing in return. (Shaq going to LA case scenario.)
Although I think you should wait until right before the rookie contract expires.
I know LeBron will be in restricted free agent status after the rookie contract expires. In that case he can sign a 1 year tender, which will probably lead him to get traded. (Because a 1 year tender is saying "I don't want to be in your team. You need to trade me.")

I think it's best to give him a chance to play with a decent team with players who will do their job from start to finish, with a competent coach who won't get fired just because management wants to demonstrate their power. One day, he might get traded for one reason or another, but shipping him off so soon? I don't know why it's being suggested before he's even rumoured to have demanded a trade.

A bad article. The trade for the Bulls roster makes sense, but really, is it worth giving up LeBron? LeBron brings profitability and the home crowd, and he's only 20 years old. The Cavs can still build around him by putting more pieces around him over the years rather than trade him to Dallas and not even get Nowitzki in return

I heard its an endorsoment contract that is asking him to go to one of the top 3 markets in the US asap: NY, LA, or Chicago. Then again, I had heard the same rumor 3 years ago about Vince Carter's endorsment deals (and the NBA) wanting him to be in a US market. Toronto and Vince didn't listen. Cleveland and Lebron might not listen either. Then again Lebron is probably a nicer and more team oriented guy over Vince. He might do as ask... for more endorsement money... after all Lebron did not show up to the dunk contest pending his million dollar request...

Follow the money.

Stupidest thing i've ever read...football games can't be won by 1 or 2 guys alone...in basketball 2 guys can dominate an entire game and form dynasties with strong role players ...the Jordan-Pippen model, also the Shaq-Kobe model, and the model teams like Houston are banking on. LeBron is the most valuable part A of that model, he's missing both part B and the supporting cast. To throw away LeBron for part C, the supporting cast, makes Cleveland another Clippers.
The roster full of decent-but-not-great players worked real well in Memphis and Portland

why the heck would the Cavs trade Bron.....he would definitely be the MVP if the Cavs had say 45 to 50 wins.....hes only 6-8 and yet he can practically dominate games....I dont think theirs anyone in the league thats worth the price of Bron...considering his tremendous upside.
I also dont see Bron leaving to join the Knicks or smth......hes a Ohio native and Akron isnt too far away from Cleveland....I only hope the Cavaliers can provide him with players that dont have ego issues.....they need to really make some changes...
They need a new coach, a center, a shooting guard, a point guard....Gooden did a more than ok job at PF.....with Big Z leaving they'll loose alot of presence in size.
With the Bucks clearing up their cap it looks like they'll offer Redd a humungous contract so it could mess up the Cavs chance to get him.....hopefully Luke Jackson wont get himself injured next season....he'd be a good compliment at the two or three for Bron....I wouldnt be suprised if they try to acquire a draft pick and try and land someone like Deron Williams or Jarrett Jack...though it will be hard to do so considering what they have to trade.
Anyway no its stupid to even think of trading Bron......its obvious the media wants Bron to play for a big city ball club instead of a relatively smaller franchise....
I hope he goes the MJ way to get his title....I see him doing that too cause he doesnt look like a person who'd threaten a team that hes leaving if he doesnt get a gigantic contract and have things done by his rules like Kobe did last summer.

LeBron have no future in Cleveland, he doesnt have a scoring teamate... Z is now an injured prone, Jmac is not enough, And also the COACH! they must fire Malone! and get a new GM!
Sat May 07, 2005 4:16 am
Give him to the Knicks.

They already fired Paxson. What they needed was Dan Gilbert to stay out of the way until the end of the year. It's a shame for Cleveland owners can't be fired.

Kirk H is turning to the next Jason Kidd and B Gordon into the next Allen Iverson and with that said they could pull a trade off sending them both to Clev for Lebron.
Sat May 07, 2005 3:42 pm
lol ben gordan sure was un iverson like in game 6..
Sat May 07, 2005 5:37 pm
yo give him a break he's only a rookie and i dont think he's the fluke Kwane Brown turned out to be and many others high draft picks.
But yeah getting back to the topic. NOT Lebron James, should NOT be traded unless he demands it. I don't think the Cleveland Cavaliers are dumbasses to trade the future of the nba to let another team. Lebron is the only "untouchable"player in the roster. The other two main guys are Z and Gooden so I would say trade the rest of the team before you even think of trading Lebron.

Even with the Bulls' success this year, I wouldn't mind seeing LeBron go to Chicago. But the Bulls would have to give up a lot of key players, leaving LeBron with even less support than he has now. His price tag is just too high to be attractive to a team that looks like it's developing a good young nucleus.
On the Cleveland side, LeBron shouldn't be on the block at all but if he is to be moved, it should be for proven talent, an All-Star for All-Star swap; not LeBron for potential. LeBron has the potential to be one of the top players in the league for the next decade or so, if not the top player and most of us would say he's already there or very close to it. You don't trade that for what-ifs.
