So it's official then... I think it's a pretty smart move for all concerned. May's draft stock may not get any higher then it is right now, Williams is a possible #1 pick so again no real need for him to stay and potentially play himself out of that position. Felton's a bit of an enigma to me but I'm still happy he's entering. I guess it comes down to what holds more importance to the players concerned, and having just won the championship maybe that's really all they wanted to get out of the college game. Good luck to them, although I think Jawad Williams could be one of the steals of this draft.

Actually on that same page there's a story about Pat Ewing Jnr transfering to Georgetown.

Their whole starting lineup is gone!

time to hop on the david noel bandwagon...

nah, i'm just going to stick with unc next year, even though their recruiting class this year isn't so good (green and hansborough). unc'll keep fighting, as long as they get to use quentin thomas at the 1 and see how well he'll play.

projected lineup next year, maybe?

thomas, frasor (interchangeable), david noel, hansborough, byron sanders (/maybe another recruit)

I think he changed his mind.

Now GT will have one less team to go through for teh Final Four, but we're missing teh whole starting lineup I think too. Jack is probalby going to teh NBA, Elder, Muhammad, McHenry, and Schenscher are all seniors (and I think Bynum too). We're screwed.

Can someone explain to me why Marvin is projected so much higher than May. I didn't watch much of the regular season but May was statistically better then May in the playoffs. He dominated the final game, took home MVP of the finals and seems more determined to do well.. Marvin kind of was nervous during the finals and din't really want to step up. Maybe i'm missing something but from what I saw Marvin wasn't as good as May in the playoffs.

May isn't going to get any better IMO, and he is undersized. Marvin is a good all-around player and is only going to get better.

usually teams draft players with the most potential opposed to the ones who have already developed a decent game.. ( see howard and okafor )

yep, I'd have to agree with Jae on this one....a good move for all Tar Heels players to leave....Sean May made the smart move....he would have only have hurt his stock by playing after a terrific Final Four....he was never gonna to stay at UNC for his senior year, I just don't see why anyone believed him as it would have been the craziest non-declaration to date....
