Another Lakers trade rumor (Oh common)

Lakers to acquire Redd from Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Lakers are nearing a deal that would send guard Michael Redd, and center Dan Gadzuric to the Lakers for guard Sasha Vujacic, forward Luke Walton, and center Chris Mihm.

The Bucks feel they will not be able to keep Redd after the end of this season, so acquiring three young players make sense. Gadzuric who played college ball in southern California at UCLA would fit the Lakers offense, as would Redd, who would probably come off the bench, or the Lakers could move Bryant to the small forward spot.

Leading more credence to this report is the fact that many people involved in the Lakers organization have said that the Lakers will make a trade before the trade deadline, and that player acquired would be a high profile player. Redd would fit that mold. He was an all-star in 2004. Most analyses believe the Lakers to be going after a big man, most notably Utah’s Carlos Boozer. But recent reports say that deal is off, so making a trade with the Bucks to acquire another potential star who if need be contract would come off the books at seasons’ end.

i dont think it will help lakers plus giving up Mihm only means a lottery for the Lakers. i rather have booz or b.diddy than redd.

and i dont want to beleive anymore Lakers trade til it happen....

What the heck, the Lakers could pull off the 3 trades now? lol...

The players mentioned in the 3 trades are different players... Odom (Peja + Jackson), Divac, George and Butler (Boozer), and now this...

Let's see... :?

Wed Feb 23, 2005 2:45 am

loosing redd will be a big blow to the bucks...lakers seem to be getting a lot of good players...

Wed Feb 23, 2005 3:40 am

Imagine the disappointment when NO deal actually happens, and Lakers remain the same up until the next season...

Damn :P

Wed Feb 23, 2005 3:41 am

Horrible trade for the Bucks (N) ...

Wed Feb 23, 2005 4:42 am

Imagine the starting lineup if all 3 trades go through...
Gadzuric
Boozer
Peja
Redd
Kobe

Bench-Jackson,Butler,and SLAVA MEDVEDENKO (Y)

Wed Feb 23, 2005 4:57 am

Butler would go in the Boozer trade. (Y)

Wed Feb 23, 2005 6:26 am

Lmao, they getting Redd and Gadzuric for one rookie with a little talent, Luke Walton (who is basically nothing) and Chris Mihm who isn't a whole lot better then Gadzuric.

If this trade does go through its a absolute steal for the Lakers.

Well I think LA may play alittle smallball (Phoenix style) and go
Jackson(if he's not injured)
Redd
Kobe
Peja
Boozer

But I doubt all of the trades would happen.

Wed Feb 23, 2005 7:42 am

hahah what a deal. i think it makes no sense whatsoever. sasha vujacic is THAT GOOD?! gadzuric is basically mihm, but i dont want him on the lakers!! wtf

will kobe have to play SF? will redd really have to play the 3? O shit that's weird as hell. assuming the trade with carlos doesnt goes down, it'll look like this:

PG-Chucky
SG-Kobe
SF-Redd
PF-Odom
C-Gadzuric

off the bench
butler, jumainejones (to play the 4), brian grant, SLAVA (finally he'll be able to play), tierre brown

that really didn't solve the "odom at PF is bad" ordeal..

Wed Feb 23, 2005 10:55 am

the bucks will only trade redd if they think they cant resign him and alot of teams want him so they can easily get more than this. this trade will never happen its a fantasy.

Wed Feb 23, 2005 10:57 am

Haha way to go Sauru crushing the Lakers fans' dreams (Y)

Wed Feb 23, 2005 10:59 am

lol, its good to dream but redd is basicly the prize of the trade deadline. anyteam thats 1 player shy of a serious championship run will want him and will give the bucks caps space and a draft pick to get him.

Wed Feb 23, 2005 11:00 am

They wouldn't be in this mess if they actually kept Shaq! (N)

Damn Kobe and his selfishness.

Wed Feb 23, 2005 11:01 am

:shhh: Don't say that, Kobe4mvp will start arguing with you...

I never told you that. :shifty:

Wed Feb 23, 2005 11:04 am

lol kobe basicly ruined the team. i still say that coach T bolted cause of him(FLAME ON!) and not health reasons.

Wed Feb 23, 2005 11:06 am

I actually agree with you. I'm not getting into an argument though, I'm to lazy. Go ahead and flame, it's fun to watch.

Wed Feb 23, 2005 11:20 am

I think Redd would be better off in the cavs , alongside james that'll be an amazing combo.

That's the first time I've seen you use caps :o ;)

If the Lakers can pull this trade off, they'll have one heck of a starting lineup, but of course, pulling all of these trades off is unlikely. Even if it does, I don't think they would mesh well with Kobe, imo.

WHAT!!!!!!! How can you say that??? Luke Walton is the son of former NBA great Bill Walton, which, in and of itself is a gre..... o wait a minute... nevermind

Wed Feb 23, 2005 6:12 pm

i for one dont wanna see Redd coming in.. no way. If he is willing to just shoot and do nothing else... its ok... but obviously the Booze trade helps us more!

Wed Feb 23, 2005 8:50 pm

this is the stupidest rumour Ive heard.....the Bucks will also earn the tag of dumbest franchises others being Jersey-Atlanta-Toronto if they do this trade.......lol when did Walton, Mihm or Vujacic become worth anything but fellow boring benchies.

Wed Feb 23, 2005 9:04 pm

maybe the Bucks wanna get into the history books before they switch cities... (Y)

I know it was lame...

Wed Feb 23, 2005 9:22 pm

I dont like this trade at all. Chris Mihm is a valuable player for the Lakers and trading him away for Gadzuric would be a risk. Getting Michael Redd also doesnt make sense, why would the Lakers need a SG? Thats a position the Lakers shouldnt worry about. Would he play SF? Would he come off the bench? He is on his final year of his contract which isnt worth that much at all, atleast not enough to get a star caliber player from in by Free Agency.

I doubt this trade will happen.

Wed Feb 23, 2005 10:56 pm

Dont worrk kobe4mvp... cause the trade is just not gonna happen.

Mihm got 19 and 15 today or yesterday! When the Lakers supporting cast steps up they can do well... hope we do well for the rest of the season. Although, it would seem that we should get a shake up... i do think its best if the Lakers go with this team to the season's end!
