Lakers 3 for 1 trade in the works (Done deal?)

Sat Feb 19, 2005 9:33 pm

According to some online sources, the Lakers are VERY close to make a trade involving 3 Lakers players for 1 big name player. It should happen within the next 24/48 hours according to the sources.

Its not known yet which players will get traded and who they are aiming for, but the names that I saw so far were Baron Davis and Carlos Boozer. As long as we dont loose Lamar Ill be okay.

Losing Lamar wouldnt be the wosrt for the lakers. I'd rather, if they could get a big name player, to have caron and kobe, along with mihm and that other superstar instead of lamar and kobe. Lmara and kobe both need the ball.. but i guess if they get baron him and kobe would have to share the ball too.. should be interesting...

I hope they get Boozer... IMO he would be the final peice of the puzzle! A solid 14 ppg and 10 rpg would be great from him!

Boozer just wants $$$.

if Kobe cant play with Shaq hes not gonna find it very easy going to B Diddy.....that'll be a stupid idea.....cause both of them will want the ball and its gonna be more drama added.....

Boozer will be the smarter choice actually......they need a big man that isnt scared of anything(well he is scared of small contracts)....

Where did you read that Kobe4MVP?

Odom would be the perfect player for Jerry Sloan IMO.

No way! Mashburn is injured for the whole season, I don't think the Lakers need that. And actually they wouldn't even trade Kobe alone for B-Dizzle and Mash.

He was joking you spanner.

Kobe's not going anywhere man.

LOL! What final piece of the puzzle? They haven't even started the puzzle yet!

That puzzle is more confusing than trying to decipher Coolmac's weird ramblings about him being good but at the same time wanting to try threesomes.

Boozer isn't a big name, he's done nothing big so far, well taking the money & running was a seemingly big thing, he even had a website dedicated to him.

Baron & Kobe co-exsisting seems difficult, 60% of the possesion will be in Kobe's hands & 40% would be in Baron's hands. Unless they can score 50 a piece, they won't be that much better off.

Anyways, it all depends on how they can co-exsist. Will they be winning a championship anytime soon? Not unless Chris Mihm and/or Vlade Divac start playing like Duncan or Shaq.

I don't know what a spanner is but Jae is right, I was merely kidding.

Kobe, Devean George and Luke Walton for Dwyane Wade

Sun Feb 20, 2005 7:38 am

brian Cook... Vlade Divac and TOny Bobbit for Drew GOoden?

Cavs won't deal Gooden after the way he has performed this year for them, he has been a savior.

Plus he's not even close to being a "big name"

Please Knicks, dump Marbury to LA for some hard working, non-trash talking (Steph claiming to be the best PG literally is lol) players

Sun Feb 20, 2005 8:05 am

Odom, Mihm and George for Ray Allen 8-)

Sun Feb 20, 2005 10:16 am

The Lakers need a solid rebounder... we havent got anything from George and lade all season... I would look for a Devean Geroge, Vlade Divac and one other guy leaving LA... I would regret losing Caron Butler and if they trade away Lamar, we'd better get someone good in return... right now though, it looks like Caron will more likely be traded!

Sun Feb 20, 2005 10:29 am

ESPN news reported that a few days ago Mitch Kupchak offerd Lamar Odom to the Kings for Peja Stojakovic, but the Kings denied it (Thank god...what the hell was he thinking). Also, the Jazz deal seems very likely at this moment and if there will be a deal for Carlos Boozer, it will NOT include Lamar Odom.

Sun Feb 20, 2005 10:30 am

I'd like to see a PF. im assuming it'll be a team for expiring contracts. i think d-george will be in the mix, maybe even caron butler (although i'd like to see lamar gone instead of butler), and luke (expiring contract as well).

if its a PG, you'll see chucky gone-zo. i think we'll be able to get PJ brown (i forgot how long his contract is)

Sun Feb 20, 2005 10:32 am

man... they will send vlade and george away. Chucky wont be going even if we get a PG in return... wouldnt mind seeing Geroge/Vlade for Kwame Brown... we wouldnt be losing much since both those guys havent played much!

Sun Feb 20, 2005 10:39 am

why not trade for 'STRO? makes a lot of sense right? the grizz are going to get pau back after the break, then 'stro would just have to come back the bench again (and you know that aint good).

jerry west would do it, because he knows he'll lose stro next. a "rental" as baseball refers to. jerry west also could be doing this to free up some PT for brian cardinal. this is probably to make him look better after giving out the 2nd stupidest deal in the offeseason (foyle deal).

DGEORGE, LUKE, DIVAC for STRO :D

Who is the guy who loves Walton.. was it Jax?
