players that stayed on the same team for X years?
Fri Feb 11, 2005 9:18 pm
Nice thread
9 years
Kobe Bryant
Allen Iverson
I remember their rookie seasons vividly, but you forgot allan houston. this is his 9th season as a knick, unless if its just for players who have been with one team?

Damn, hard to believe that KG has been in the league for 10 years and AI and Kobe for 9!

I listed players that only played for one team in their whole career

Go Reggie... so committed!

Allan Houston was with the Detriot Pistons for 3 years before the knicks.
That list kind of shows you who the REAL superstars in the league are.
I remember watching Inside the NBA, and Kenny Smith named the only 6 superstars in the league
1. Tim Duncan ( 1 team)
2. Shaq ( 3 teams)
3. Kobe ( 1 team)
4. Iverson (1 team)
5. Garnett (1 team)
6. Jason Kidd ( 3 teams)
shaq of course is a exception to many stuff, kidd might be questionable (but remember he always makes his teammates better+ all those triple doubles), but for the other 4, sticking with 1 team and have success shows your superstar status.
VC- couldnt carry his load
T-mac- couldnt carry his load
funny how iverson been doing it for so many years for his team.
( oh he didnt include the young ones like lebron because they too young to be claimed a superstar..need a few more years to be classified as one and not quit like carter/mcgrady did!)

If only Malone had stayed on that list.
It's not your fault if you get traded though.

Wow.. Adonal Foyle made that short list. 3.5 points per game, 4 rebounds per game, and 1.7 blocks per game really makes him a very, very valuable player to Golden State considering how much money he's making.

Absolutely. I know it sounds cliche, but it really does seem like only yesterday they were entering the league.

LeBron is actually considered a Superstar. Have you seen the way he plays? He's a fucking Two Time All Star.
(I say Two Time because he got snubbed the first year, he was def All-Star then)

He doesn't seem like the guy that wouldn't produce. He works hard. You could say that you can be unsure whether Carter or McGrady would produce the next year because of their work ethic, but LeBron is gonna keep taking it to the next level, imo. He could get injured, though, and that might take away everything.

He was mispelled, and among the 6 years. I corrected it, and updated it after the trading deadline, thanks
