And though the Raptors didn't need another twist in their sordid saga, Williams delivered a zinger last night. Frustrated that his playing time has diminished to zilch, the highly touted veteran acquired in the Vince Carter trade said that he has demanded a trade through his agent.
"I need to get out of here, man," Williams said before the Raptors' 110-107 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks. "If I'm not going to be a part of this team, I can go anywhere else and help a team out. I can go to New Orleans and help them out."
"I thought I was going to be a part of something, but I really ain't a part of nothing," Williams said. "So I'm pretty much wasting my f---in' time ... You try to be a professional, but f--- professionalism."
You'd be hard-pressed to find anyone in the NBA who'll say a word against Williams. He's the devoted father of his 10-year-old son Raquiesh, whose mother, Williams' one-time girlfriend, was killed along with two other women in 2003 in a tragedy that has left a man in jail facing 14 charges in connection with the deaths.
Williams eschewed more lucrative offers to sign with the Nets so he could raise his child in the familiar environs of the family's hometown of Newark. These days, Raquiesh, better known as Lil' E, is living with Williams' mother in New Jersey.
"I ain't on the court, and I'm away from my family," he said. "That's just doubled the (pain).

If we consider Eric Williams out of the team for nothing (waived or traded for a 2nd round pick), that would make a trade with Vince Carter (25.6 PPG / 6 RPG / 5 APG since he's a Net) for Aaron Williams (0.7 PPG in 5 MPG as a Raptor), hum
As well, it's not like Vince is making a huge impact on the Nets. He's still just playing for himself, trying to get his shattered image back together. Even without RJ, the Nets should be a playoff team with Vince and Kidd. They have enough depth to get by, barely, but they won't because when you have a guy like Vince, who decides to focus on his scoring and nothing else, you get what the Nets have now, a team that will barely be .500 by seasons end, and still only scores 90 ppg and gives up about 94-95.
All the while, Toronto is scoring more than they did with Vince, and their defense and rebouding have gotten better. Not to mention the fact that without Vince, Bosh has the opportunity to take over and become the player he was hyped to be.

The two draft picks will probably be either mid teens, or since they are lottery protected for next season, they eventually be lottery picks two or three years down the road. With these picks they can do what teams like Boston or Atlanta have done over the past few seasons with the multiple picks they picked up, adding more depth and young talent
