rodman tried out for nuggets today

Fri Oct 01, 2004 2:33 pm

hope he made the team

Fri Oct 01, 2004 3:09 pm

Yes, as do I. :?

Sat Oct 02, 2004 5:23 am

The only problem is that he'll get precisely 0 minutes of playing time.

Where's he going to squeak in minutes when Nene, Marcus Camby and Kenyon Martin will all be taking minutes up at the 4-spot?

I hope he makes A team, but not the Nuggets. I hope Denver gives him a training camp invite and then some other team signs him. Like Miami.

Sat Oct 02, 2004 5:41 am

forget miami. they aint going nowhere. they gave up their team by trading away there players. rodman should look to sign with another team if nuggets dont want him. as long as hes not on t wolves or heat im str8

Rodman would be a monster still :D

Tue Oct 05, 2004 4:16 am

...yeah, in NBDL.

Tue Oct 05, 2004 7:10 am

If Rodman made the Nuggets. It would definitly help out ticket sales(Even though they dont even need it) He would bring alot of attention to Denver.

hey sorry, i couldn't find another topic to post it, but I noticed that if you take the NBA Champions of the last 18 years (Detroit, San Antonio, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston), you realize that Rodman played in 4 of these five teams :o

Indeed I didn't want to create a new thread just for that. I looked for a "NBA trivia" post (I was sure that CambyMan created it) but I wasn't able to find it :( So I posted in the first Rodman thread I found.

Interesting, although he really wasnt part of the lakers or spurs championship runs.

Fuck...

Sat Feb 19, 2005 10:16 am

i already knew that fact... he only starred in Chicago and Detroit... the other two shouldnt be counted!

Sat Feb 19, 2005 10:22 am

he was actually pretty big for the spurs. the only reason the spurs traded him was cause of his attitude but he definetly played big for them.

Rodman had also lost interest in playing for San Antonio, as he'd lost respect for the front office (Popovich, at the time GM) and with the exception of John Lucas, the coaching staff (Bob Hill, who Rodman publically referred to as "Boner"). Popovich and Hill made the mistake of trying to control Rodman and make him conform. In contrast, Phil Jackson took the approach of "If he does his job on the court, he can wear whatever he wants off it".

of course, but I found it funny that Rodman was a kind of "totem" for these teams :)

Sun Feb 20, 2005 3:13 am

What do you mean by a "totem"??? :?:
