The Chinese have played two games.
In Game One they were thrashed by Spain. Yao played 27 minutes and registered 12 and 8. He fouled out and lashed out at teammates in front of media.
They lost 58-83
In game two...i just saw it- Yao scored 39 as CHina beat New Zealand 69-63[/quote]

On their defeat:
"I feel so disappointed. I lost all my hopes for this team. I didn’t expect to play so bad. We changed our skin but we are the same. Just like the World Championships in Indianapolis two years before."
On his future in the National team:
"I didn’t play well also. I am thinking to retire from National team. Not now, but soon I will. In Indianapolis I was the youngest player. Now I am the older, but still is no hope for us."
