...JUMPING ONTO THE BANDWAGON
If I start supporting the Bobcats??
I guess their a new team and it'd be fun following them and their young players...but they didn't pick up Juan Dixon!

I don't think it's bandwagoning, at least not in a negative way.

Why did they take Baxter over Dixon? That's like choosing between a sandwhich or a full-course meal.

i heard bickerstaff does alot of weed
so im guessing he was smokin weed in his cadillac when picking baxter over dixon...
man like Gerald Wallace is gonna be a main player there...
its already nuts !!!

I don't think so......

I like the team already, simply becuase they got Gerald Wallace.
i was sick of seeing this talent stuck on the bench of the Kings.
They were 8-1 with him starting.
i've always liked wallace.
nows his chance to shine.

All this talent
He can dunk, yes, but then? He's a good athlete but i don't see him as a high talented player...

What??? I'm very offended as a Lakers fan.
I suggest you take it back, that's very unrespectful.
Rooting for a team begins in many different ways for each of us. The most common way is watching a team playing when you are a kid and truly enjoyng they're style of playing as well as their players.
I choose the Lakers in the 80's, despite losing to the Celtics. The showtime amazed me. LA didn't win a title in 10 years untill 2000. I was still a Laker fan. You call it bandwagoning???? Please.
Nowadays you almost have to wish that you team loses if you don't want to be consider a bandwagon, which is ridiculous.
I think the bandwagon effect was on the other side in the last 4 years, with more and more people HATING the Lakers. That's bandwagon.

Okafor will be their main man, the same way Damon Stoudamire was expected to be the man for the Raptors when he was picked 7th in 1995. I'm guessing the Grizzlies also expected Bryant Reeves to be their centrepiece when they picked him 6th in 1995; if so, it was an ill-fated plan.

yeah i like charlotte building around okafur
per the LA thing, yes it is a bandwagon. I know their are plenty of old-time fans, but la is now very popular internationally just like chicago used to be. Its just logical that people who dont really have a reason geographically or otherwise to root for a certain team will root for a winning team. I dont see a lot hawk fans outside of atlanta now do i.
LA hate bandwagon? get real, did you ever think that maybe people are just rooting for their own teams?
