Who do you think is the best shooter in the NBA right now? Peja, Redd, Allen?
Mon Apr 12, 2004 6:38 am
Even though Vashon beat Peja in the 3 point shoot out, Peja is still way better and is the berst in the league now. Peja can hit off balance jumpers like crazy and is very consistant unlike many other good shooters. Reggie 5 years ago would probably beat peja now imo.

Right now it's Peja but in 2-3 years it's gonna be Kyle Korver, mark my words.

my man Dirk!

^ Sixers pride to say the least but I don't completely disagree. Korver has a sweet shot, book it, but what if Iverson is traded? How will Korver get his shots?

I voted Nash

, I don't know man I know Peja and Dirk can shoot but they have the advantage over Redd, Allen, Nash etc because they're much taller than their defenders.
Peja is an average of about 3-4 inches taller than his defenders, and Dirk ranges depending on who's guarding him.

yeah, lol.
btw speaking of sixers pride, i want my signature back (the philly proud one)...does anyone know a good (free) host for images? sorry for goin off topic, im so desperate...

Sam Cassell...the master of the mid-range
Mon Apr 12, 2004 2:16 pm
Peja is the best among the top scorers, but Wesley Person has an excellent jumpshot. Even though Person has better form, I'll probably have to pick Peja since he's the one getting an opportunity to shoot the lights out.
Mon Apr 12, 2004 4:02 pm
Peja hands down...wen i 1st looked at the topic just b4 i opened it i said peja...PEJA PEJA PEJA lol
Mon Apr 12, 2004 5:49 pm
depends what kind of shots we talking bout. 3's or mid-range?
i'll go with R Allen
Mon Apr 12, 2004 5:55 pm
Peja Stojakovitch and Ray Allen.
I voted for R. Allen, cause he can create his own shots

I think Michael Redd
I mean its almost impossible to block him while hes shooting, coz of his lightning quick release
Hes now able to take his man off the dribble and create his own shot.
He also is great at getting his feet set, or even he dont he still knocks it down.
Though i may be biased coz i like Redd, but honestly i think he is.
I'm not taking anything from Peja though, the yugo can shoot

How on earth is Michael Redd getting points. His field goal percentage is only normal 44% and his 3 point shot is well below par 34%.

Michael Redd has a real nice stroke, and good form.
Peja is probably the best in the nba, even though he has a weird stroke and a weird, sideways spin on the ball.

Well maybe because his career 3PT% is 40.5%, and also he's at 34.9% this, year not way below 34%.
Also with him shooting 44.1%, This Year: Ray Allen 43.7%, Lenard 42.3%, Houston 43.5%, Reggie 43.8%, Brent Barry 50.4%, Nash 46.7%.
Out of all the guards, only Brent Barry and Nash have a better FG%.
Career:
Nash - 41.5%
Person - 41.6%
Barry - 40.7%
Redd - 40.5%
Houston - 40.2%
Allen - 40.1%
Peja - 39.8%
Reggie- 39.8%
Lenard - 38.7%
Dirk - 37.2%

Steve Nash,
I think he has the best shooting stroke, and he's the only one who left his arm raised after releasing the ball... and that makes difference

peja

I say ray allen. I watched im a few times vs the clippers and the lakers, and sometimes, as soon as he gets the ball, he'll be way out and still just shoot it immediately and swish. When he gets his shot on, he's unstoppable. He'll get like 3-4 in a row. He's also a good dunker too, and thats always a plus for me.

depends on the type of shot.
Midrange = Sammy Cassell
covered threes = Peja
Open threes = Mike Bibby (he never misses them, best open shooter in the league)
Ray Allen is second in both of the 3 categories IMO.
