I figured Vin would be out of the NBA until this offseason, but I guess the Knicks are willing to take a chance on him. For the second time this season, I hope Vin can turn it around and be a good player again. More importantly, I hope he can overcome his alcoholism, as that not only affects him personally and professionally, but also his family. I don't wish that kind of misfortune upon anyone.

So hopefully Vin will make the most of this chance. I've got a feeling history is going to repeat itself (again), but I really hope I'm wrong.

i hope he does good here in new york, knicks really need some help. A couple weeks ago they look like a sure lock for a playoff spot but now they have falled into the roller coaster ride with 5 other teams for 3 playoff positions

same here, man...

and i hope also overcomes his 'fatness'

Compared to recent years, he's actually been in pretty good condition this season which is one of the reasons for his surprising play at the beginning of the year. A lack of focus, dedication and motivation and his problem with alcohol are the problems these days now that he's in better physical condition.

so far so good! hooray!

I still anticipate an implosion. I'm not wishing that upon him, but it seemed like everything was OK at the beginning of the year.

i didnt even recognize him! his fatness has somehow receded!

hmmmm, on second thought, maybe he's just sucking it in....... :D

If he's holding it in, he's doing a pretty good job.

So far Vin's averaging 8 ppg and 6.7 rpg in 23 mpg for the Knicks. 4.7 fouls per game in 23 mpg isn't that good, but otherwise he's not doing too badly. His chance at returning to the level he was at back in 1999/2000 might have passed him by though.

well, he's doin pretty good but i think the Knicks need to give Sweetney a chance cause he was drafted instead of Collison...

Well, so far Sweetney has been impressing a lot of Knicks fan over these last few games and when a guy like him play well, minutes are cut for Baker, KT and Nazr.

For the Knicks, it really is a gamble but we really need a presence like him, but so far things arent good for the Knicks with their inconsistent play as of late.
