Chandler's stats weren't as impressive as his numbers earlier this season and Pippen didn't play (I'm assuming his knee wouldn't let him), but Eddy Curry seemed to have a nice game. Sure, he turned the ball over 6 times and fouled out, but he had 23 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Eddie Robinson, another name we Bulls fans seem to mutter about quite a bit, scored 16 points in 23 minutes (7/8 FGs). Oh, and the victory is nice too.

Obviously it would be naive of me to suggest everything is fine and that this is the start of something big. But I could definitely get used to Curry posting 20 and 10 double-doubles on a regular basis. [/url]

I'm not sure. I'd wait until the offseason before moving any of them. I read a rumour over at RealGM regarding a deal with the Clippers. I believe it was Fizer (and possibly someone else) for Ely and Jaric. I'd pull the trigger on that deal.

I'd be lying if I said the thought didn't cross my mind. "Consistency" is the word of the day when describing what the Bulls need to improve. The Three Cs have all shown they are capable of posting good, even great numbers (if Curry could average 23 and 12, he'd be the best centre in the East). They've also proven that they cam win games. To become a better team, both must occur consistently.

I know what you mean. On one hand, I hope the Bulls don't give him too many chances only to see it blow up in their faces. On the other hand, I'd hate to see a Jermaine O'Neal type situation unfold. I'd like to see the Bulls commit to a rebuilding plan, only making changes if something isn't working. That way, there would be some stability without complacency.

Even as a Raptor fan, I remember how bad it was having Antonio Davis for the last 2 years and I wouldn't want any other fan to feel that frustration but I still don't think you guys should have took on $36 Million for the next 3 years for a guy that can gives you 10-10 max. You can get the same thing for alot cheaper. His contract runs another three years? For some reason I thought he was a free agent at the end of this season. Anyway, I'm not that keen on Davis, but he'll do as a veteran big man who can come in and have a solid game as long as Curry remains inconsistent. If the Bulls decide to get rid of Davis, I wouldn't be too upset.

I'm not sure about Crawford. Some games it seems like he's the scorer they need, other times he seems to hinder more than he helps. That's why I'd like the Bulls to wait until the offseason before they more Jamal or any of the Three Cs.

The Bulls have a payroll of $53 Million now and it doesn't seem that much for a team that still has one of highest attendance figures in the league, but adding Davis and Williams to their list of bloated contracts made them take a step backwards. They already had Eddie Robinson who's living on easy street. What could the Bulls possibly do next to take a step in the right direction?

Dump a couple of those contracts to unsuspecting teams for players who will be free agents at the end of the year...or, if they do it in the offseason, players who might be a better fit. That's easier said than done.

this is nonsense- before the trade the only player with a bloated contract was eddie robinson.
the team's cap room situation is still in position to resign the 3 C's, if they choose to. also, it's still possible that davis and/or jyd can be traded to a contending team for a younger player and/or a player w/a better contract.

toronto, on the hand, has over $60mil committed to a 38fg%, 3 tpg, no defense playing, aging rose for 4yrs

it's all on the 3C's. they need to develop into players that can carry a team into the playoffs. until then, Pax needs to surround them with vets that can at least keep the team out of the league's basement (krause's biggest mistake was not doing this)
