This year's most disappointing team

Wed Jan 21, 2004 9:14 am

I'd have to pick Chicago. I would have picked Philly, but all those injuries have kept them from assuming a team identity, so it's not really a dissapointment.

But Chicago has a potential MIP this year(Jamal Crawford), one of the east's best centers(Eddy Curry), a great supporting group(Eddie Robinson, Jerome Williams, Antonio Davis, and that white dude  ), and one of the top 50 players of all time(Scottie Pippen). There are very few teams in the east who even come close to their amount of talent, and no excuse for this. I think that Jamal Crawford, as good as he is, needs to go for a more conservative PG. He's not the leader that Chicago needs him to be, and it will be even more of a problem when and if Jay Williams returns.

i picked Chicago too

Bulls got so many possible weapons, it's a shame that none of em are loaded

Wed Jan 21, 2004 11:39 am

Orlando Magic.

#8 Seed + Juwan Howard + Tyronn Lue - Darrell Armstrong = 11-31 worst record in NBA 21-game losing streak? No.

Wed Jan 21, 2004 11:50 am

lol

The lakers......beating the 72-10 record my ass

Wed Jan 21, 2004 11:51 am

Yep, i'd have to say Orlando.

Wed Jan 21, 2004 1:12 pm

no doubt Orlando, who in their mind would think Orland whould hold the word record in the NBA with a superstar like TracyMcGrady so long? ( i believe they will past the hawks and possibly wizards eventually to get outta the basement :))
The Bulls are anther surprise, but they didn't do too good last year either so it's not as worst as a playoff team dropping to the basement.

Chicago is disappointing
but not many ppl expected them to make the playoffs
sure they were an upgrade from last year.. but i only thought they would be like a 5-10 games below .500 team.. maybe predicted that way ..

Orlando on the other hand.. was suppose to be 1 of the top East teams coming out of the offseason... Getting Howard and Lue and getting a Mcgrady that is closely reaching his prime.
They are the worst right now in the whole damn league..

Suns is #2 on disappointing teams.. they were gonna make the playoffs with Houston and form a crazy top 8 western conference
LA, Kings, Spurs, Dallas, Wolves, Rockets, Suns, Portland
Ya and the blazers too.. disappointing

The Bulls season has been disappointing, but as others have already pointed out they weren't supposed to be one of the top teams. I'm also going to go with Orlando. I picked them as being one of the top teams in the East this season. Instead they're lingering at the bottom of the conference.

The Bulls have had a bunch of injuries. This includes Jalen Rose before he was dealt. Pippen has been out, so have Curry and Chandler.

The white dude's name is Kirk Hinrich.

Jamal Crawford has been playing SG.

Jay Will is most likely done in Chicago.

I would say the Bulls are the most disappointing team to me because I actually care about what happens. There are some excuses as to why they have been this way, but even if they were fully healthy they probably would still suck.

LOL! I accidently(sp?) put Philadelphia 76ers cause I was thinking wtf is Phillidelphia and voted  actualy I wanted to vote for Orlando Magic!

NJ Nets... 21-19 and I think they have one of the best offense schemes of the league, lots of sets and coordinate plays, but somehow they keep their record around .500

Hey dude above me could you please lessen your sig coz its too big.. Anyways my pick is orlando. Although they have picked up gay howard i still think that they were a much better team last year.

suns got my vote for most disappointing team. that team had so much talent- 2 superstars in marion and marbury and a rising one in amare, and still had a piss poor record. also i'm disappointed that marbury only now is starting to be unselfish

Any year that the Bulls don’t win the title is disappointing to me. :(
But I’m going to go for Dallas, who seem to have gone the opposite way of the “addition by subtraction” formula. Nick Van Exel needed to stay with the Mavericks. Jamison really doesn’t fit. Nowitzki hasn’t been as good as he could be either. Nash has been a disappointment. Brightest spot for the team is the play of Josh Howard. They have a legitimate player in him.

okay, first off i am not flaming ya, just asking some questions.
how can the Warriors be dissapointing. If anything there playing aboe expectations.
the surprise of cardinal, dampier and van exels solid play has held them together, the return of j-rich helped also.
Also with the Cavs, there being led by an 18, now 19 year old rookie.
come on now, u cant expect too much.

Orlando, my expectations for the Bulls weren't too high, but the dismal start of Orlando was news to me.
