Expensive Kobe Bryant figures

This is cool, but who's got money for this?

The most I ever got into something like this was about ten McFarlane figures and the hoop back in the day... I don't understand why they wouldn't at least separate these for half the price... maybe if they were like $50 each I would consider getting 24 Kobe.

The McFarlane figures were nice but the likenesses became absolutely abominable over the years. Some very bizarre players got made like Desmond Mason and Adam Morrison in 2008... it would actually be pretty hilarious to own an Adam Morrison figure. I understand why he was made, but Desmond Mason was never a player on my radar, considering this was right around when I first got into the league.

They made a couple Derrick Rose figures over the years... some turned out okay, but a few were hideous:

Maybe I can win some 2009 All-Star tickets while I'm at it. :lol:

I imagine a lot of collectables have shot up in price in the wake of his passing, which is kind of gross.

As someone who collected basketball cards backs in the 90s and always thought in the back of my mind "these will be worth something one day!", I'm leery of spending too much on collectables these days. :lol:

People here in Turkey thinks that 260 dollars are very cheap for US citizens. Thanks for posting this reply man, I realized that some Turkish people got out-of-mind after poverty. These figures are definitely too expensive.

Typical "action figures" you would see in the states are 10-$15... I get this is high-end, but it interests me there's a market for this.

For reference, that Dirk figure costs almost as much as a Nintendo Switch (300).

A LeBron rookie card just sold for 1.8M...
