so does this mean you'll be changing your sn to B4r0n4mvp?

Tue Dec 02, 2003 1:24 am

MVP: Baron Davis or Kevin Garnett
Most Improved: Emanu Ginobli or Murray
6th Man: (not sure)
Coach of the year: Larry Brown, Phil Jackson or Van Gundy
Defensive: Ben Wallace (who else)
Rookie of the year: Carmelo Anthony

"Lebron James my foot, are you kidding me? Lebron scores 33 points in a 2OT game, and he's rookie of the year, of course not! How many games have the Cavs won this season, compared to the Nuggets? The Nuggets have a winning record; and he's scoring made points, and he's helping his team win games, something Lebron has not done as yet."

"I still think Lebron needed at least one year of college ball, before coming to the NBA, because he can't play D, and he surely can't shoot! Carmleo on the other hand went in his first year of college, and carried a team on his back all the way to the NCAA title; and now he's boasting at least a .500 record in the Western conference; and don't forget Carmelo has to play 4 times a year: the Lakers, Mavs, Kings, Spurs, Wolves, Blazers, Suns, Rockets, Sonics & Grizzles, yes the Grizziles 4 times a year, and Lebron doesn't"

"Up to now, Lebron has been okay, but isn't worth the hype as yet, and surely isn't worth $90 million dollars for a Nike shoe deal!"

Tue Dec 02, 2003 4:18 am

Melo has a better team than Lebron James, lets face it!,, Melo doesnt carry the nuggets on his back, neither does lebron,, I think that ROY unlike the MVP is about the rookies stats and not the team,,

My guess for rookie of the year is Lebron James,, the cavs just lack chemistry,,

Tue Dec 02, 2003 4:28 am

I think statistics-wise, Lebron has more impressive numbers, but is that all that they really use to determine rookie of the year? I'm sure W's in the wins column will be a factor as well right?

I grudgingly have to give that hype machine Lebron rookie of the year so far.

Tue Dec 02, 2003 4:36 am

Lebron can play D LOL.. he has more steal then MELO you got to be kidding right.. i guess not. once the cavs trade ricky davis and newble they will start playing much better.. plus MELO has andre miller, marcus camby.jon barry, NENE, vosho lenard, if you asked anyone all those players are way better then iggy and davis plus davis cant play team ball they should trade him to portland for bonzi wells.

As a community, the posters out here should not look to fight with eachother because they don't like someone's sign in name. It just destroys good discussions and makes people like me ( ) very very sad. Anywho, let's just smoke some of the herbz and like stevan said, make it about love & peace. :D

Topic:

MVP: Baron Davis (Hornets)
MIP: Ronald Murray (Sonics)
Defensive POY: Ben Wallace (Pistons)
ROY: LeBron James (Caveliers)
6th man: Antawn Jamison (Mavericks)
Coach: Rick Carlisle (Pacers)

Mvp: Baron Davis
MIP: Flip Murray
ROY: Melo
Defensive: Ben Wallace
6th Player: Jamison (Mayb Boykinz [Power to the Midgetz] )

hmm....Andrew, i think somebody is trying very very hard to be noticed by you

Tue Dec 02, 2003 1:33 pm

MVP: Allen Iverson (I dunno what their team W-L record is, which is usually pretty important, but AI has been monstorous.)
MIP: Flip (closely followed by Zach Randolph)
ROY: Melo
DPOY: Benji Wallace
6th man: Earl Boykins (Also a possibly candidate for MIP)

Tue Dec 02, 2003 3:57 pm

Umm......Shep...you are making posts that are worthless very worthless Jackal is only trying to tell you to stop and what do you do? Bash Him?! You cant do that....so stay off his Back

MVP: Shaquille O'Neal

Tue Dec 02, 2003 4:30 pm

MVP: Baron Davis (He's been the only clear-cut super-player so far that's been instrumental in their team's good record. Garnett would be my second choice but his team isn't doing so well as of yet.)

Rookie: Carmelo Anthony (tough choice between him and Lebron but it seems so far at least that Melo has made more of an impact on his team)

Improved: Brian Scalabrine.........no, just kidding  Almost 100% sure that Ronald Murray will take this award for this year

Defensive: Ron Artest (only because Indiana has a lower points allowed average than Detroit)

6th: Earl Boykins (What a fun player to watch! Shorter than my dad and taking the league by storm)

Coach: Jerry Sloan (let's see if the Jazz can keep up their impressive record for the whole season)

As a sidenote, Ron Artest was my least favourite player last year but I'm struggling to find reasons to continue to dislike him. He definitely seems to have cleaned up his act this year. Let's hope he's not just building up for a humongous outburst later in the season.

this coming from mr.spam himself...

Tue Dec 02, 2003 5:51 pm

To everyone involved (you know who you are): Please stop before this escalates into a much uglier flame war. Thank you.

If you're reffering to me wanting the Mod position, I have said it loud and clear in the "Welcome New Mod" thread in the NLSC Issues, that I don't see myself suited for the position becuz I am a very biased person. Now, if you were a tad more active on the forums, you would have seen I posted that message. The reason I asked for you not to instigate anything is because I don't want a good thread locked.
It's to be a little more mature and a little more calm. You should stop assuming things. If I were to assume things, it seems that you get a kick out of creating flame wars...that's how it seems to go in every thread you post, and you tried to do it in this one too...your post was uncalled for, all I did was ask you to stop trying to ignite flame wars, because all it will do is lock a good thread. And ofcourse, as usual, you went assuming what it is I am trying to do...

Browse the forum a little more and read as to what posters have to say...if you heed my advice...you will notice that I have said I am not suitable for any responsibility involving the forum. But if being mature is seeking attention. (Y)

Anyways, I don't see why I'm explaining myself to you...you'll just come up with some cock and bull story anyways, so I'm done in this thread.

Wed Dec 03, 2003 1:42 am

if you really cared about the community as you say, why would you continue flame wars that i apparently start? all you need to do is ignore me if you feel like i am starting shit because by saying something, it just gets worse. so its not your place or that 11 year old friend of yours to tell me when i'm out of line.

as for starting flame wars; how do you explain your "its fun dreaming" statement in another thread?

MVP: Allen Iverson/Baron Davis
MIP: Flip Murray
ROY: Melo Anthony
DPOY: Ben Wallace
6th Man: Earl Boykins

What about your coach Drama? No one in paticuliar??

I cant decide between Wallace/Artest for DPOY and Boykins/Jamison for 6th Man of the year.

IF the NBA ended today...

MVP: Baron Davis (He's playing tremendous ball out there!)

Defensive: Ron Artest or Ben Wallace (I can't choose!)

ROY: Melo Anthony (I think the team record really counts! I STILL THINK Amare beat Yao cause Suns made Playoffs! BTW...Bron only has better assists average otherwise Bron/Melo are both very even stats-wise!)

MIP: Flip Murray (Nice work filling in Ray Allen!)

Sixth Man: Lil' Earl Boykins (Wat can I say? Five-foot phenomenon who's rapidly becoming a fan-favourite, comes off the bench to change the pace of games, amazing talent...all he needs is that starting job!)

Coach: Phil Jackson
