114-95 Loss to NO

Way too many three's allowed and they made them. Props to NO, it might also be due to a double overtime game against SA. :(

After the game they had last night against spurs..i didn't expect them to win this game. They are an all-star team but they aren't invincible...they are only human.

So much for 82-0. I'm not a Laker hater, but the reality of the situation is even with four stars, they won't be on top of their game every game. On paper, they could probably win every game, but in real life there are factors such as injuries (both major and minor), fatigue, loss of focus, and amazing performances by opponents.

There's absolutely no reason to panic, it's just one game. But the Lakers have as much chance of going 81-1 as they did 82-0.

Oh well, it's about time they lost.
They haven't really been playing well anyways. They've been winning games, but not near as dominant as that first game against Dallas where they were so impressive.
In all honesty they should have lost that game against the (Duncan-less) Spurs last night. They didn't really play well enough to win it.

Who would have thought Tim Floyd would get so many victories already?? :)

Yeah...the Lakers are only human...and with all the attention they're getting from the press...I think that makes opponents want to play better so that they can beat them. It's basically a chellenge for any team in the NBA to beat these Lakers....and whoever does are probaly a good team!

New Orleans, I think played the better game...they shot the ball well to beat LA...while the Lakers can always blame fatigue...

One Question: when the Bulls went 72-10...did they get all this hype and when they lost a game...wat was the fans/ media's reaction?

There wasn't much hype going into the season. Some people (Slam Magazine, for example) even suggested that despite the fact MJ had been working out over the summer in preparation for his first full season back after retirement, they'd struggle to make the playoffs.

Once they got rolling it started getting attention. I think they only had 4 losses by the All-Star break, after which talk of 70 increased.

Just like always......waaaay to much threes allowed, they are lucky that the previous teams didnt make them, so I hope the NOH slapped their eyes open. Also like alot say....they had a hard double overtime game against San-Antonio and played more then they used to, so they would be tired

I didn't watch the game, but I heard Kobe couldn't defend Baron Davis last night. Did 'the glove' give him a shot?

Shaq wasn't too far behind either. He scored all his points in garbage minutes during the fourth. They put on a nice little run at the beginning of the third to take the lead.... after that it wasn't shit left in the tank.

I wouldn't come down too hard on Kobe. True, he's been shining the last two games, but if you only watched one of his games this year you can tell that knee's still preventing him from being as effective as he can be, and having to run 48 minutes on it the night before ain't going to put no pep in your step.

I was already expecting this from Shaq. They say some players can withstand more than others, Shaq's a prime example of the second one. That cocksmoker couldn't play through a pimple :!: But that's my dog and he ain't had to play 50 minutes since, what, 2001?

We get two days rest now before we head to Memphis on Monday I know my boys will be ready.
No Phil, No Shaq, No Mailman, No Rudy, No Chemistry or Cohesivness....
AND?!!?

That loss also takes pressure out of them. At least they have shown they can play together sharing the ball, something was doubtful for many.

You people who think that this Laker team is invincible and will break the all-time win record........................ need to wake up! They might end up winning it all (maybe), but believe me it won't be a cakewalk.

Only time will tell...................... playoff basketball is about depth and young legs.
So wait until May before you start crowning them champs.
