60 - 22 SEASON (NETS)

Postby showstopper496 on Tue Oct 21, 2003 11:09 am

The Nets have the SAME Players as last seasons 49 wins plus a New Center & Tall Point-Guard. The importatnt word in the above sentence is SAME, meaning they know each other and how each other plays in certain situations or against certain teams and their players.
Now the addition of TWO other Players one a Veteran AllStar-Center & the other a Young Tall Athletic Rookie who can run and pass at the same time is TWO quality PLAYERS inwhich alot of teams in the League right now would LOVE to have on their team.
The NETS Organization gave up a good Defensive Center so that they could lock on to three of the seventeen players on their Preseason roster. Meaning they only have to cut or waive TWO Players from that roster.
The Nets may not have a pure 50% three-point shooter on their roster right now but who's to say what might happen during the middle of the season, and what players on the roster right now may develope an outside threat shot.
That is why I say the NETS will become a 60-22 team in the 2003-2004 season.

I'm not sure about 60, I guess that depends on how effective Zo can be. They should win at least 50-55 games though.

60 wins is a bit ambitious
it all depends on Zo's kidneys

replicating last year's record with or without zo isn't out of the picture. the nets achieved their record last year without deke... also kidd has a contract, kmart is playing for a contract, jefferson's game is developing, and kittles isn't coming off major knee surgery like last year. all good signs of the nets being the east's best again
