Clippers keep Brand & other LeBron news

Postby Full Surface on Mon Jul 21, 2003 10:13 pm

Clippers have now officially matched up the offer by the Heat and are going to keep Elton Brand.

Also, LeBron scored 9 points while shooting 2-14 against the Wizards on his final Summer League game. He had 5 turnovers as well. I think that LeBron needs to work on handling the ball down the court and not do so many "trick passes" (that's the reason why he commits turnovers). I'd hate to see this guy appear in the Most Turnovers category when the season begins.

I still think LeBron should be playing small forward or shooting guard.

James looked a bit fatigued in his fourth and final game in Boston. The 18-year-old rookie scored just nine points on dismal 2-for-14 shooting with two rebounds and one assist. He missed every jumper he took, with five points from the free-throw line, a layup and dunk.

Strange, he looked a bit fatigued playing in the Summer league, I hope he doesn't look like that when he has to play 82 games and 6 months.

"He needs some rest, for one damn thing," Silas said. "He's got to let his body rest. The main thing is to take some time off and prepare himself for the rigors of the NBA. It's going to be tough for him."

That's your coach talking there LeBron.

When asked about his future plans, James said, "Just rest, rest up my body. I got to get well-rested for the first week in September, when training camp starts."

Yes, do that, like it's going to be enough for the whole season.

Have they sent the paper work to the heat cause from wat i heard they said they matched it but the heat have not recieved the paper work so they still cant do anything with their money yet. Is this done on purpose by the clipps to stop the heat from offering odom an offer sheet or any other free agents that the clipps are after like arenas?
