No I didn't make it, my friend's friend found it and sent it to him. I told him to forward it to me so I could post it up. You see, the season has not even started yet. Here we have a fan pretty much pronouncing that they have already won the 2004 Championship.

I actually think that's pretty clever (even if the whole priceless thing has been done to death ). Those priceless things should be left to what they were designed for - showing pictures of drunk chicks with their boobs falling out or guys throwing up.

Before every season i tell anyone who will listen that this is the year that the Clippers finally turn things around so i can't hate on Laker fans because they say that their team is gonna win it all next season. The Lakers have a hell of a lot better chance of winning a title then my lowly Clippers have of turning it around. . It's natural for people to barrack for their favorite team and it's also natural for people's favourite to be a winning one. (funny coincedence that ) You get the same shit in Soccer with Man U, In Baseball with the Yankees and so on.

I supposed most of you (if not all those no-Lakers fans) would do the same (if the Spurs get a trade for Jason Kidd and Paul Pierce) when they come out with the same logos & advertisements. That's the only way I would say there's been neutral thoughts in your minds. Not cause it is the Lakers but because it is too soon to say they are champions.

In other words, let's just try to be neutral, I agree it's too soon for the Lakers say they are next season champs but from that to you not like the Lakers fans?. So, if the Nets get a logo & advertisement saying they are the next champs, would you hate them?

A FAN, not all fans have said that they will be the 2004 champs, I know that that picture is in my avatar, but that's just to show the 4 guys....and the biggest reason is to annoy people like Ben, who constantly keeps calling the lakers, the Lackers, his opinion but I sure as hell doubt he can call them that now...

Anywho...not all Laker fans are the same, and proclaim the championship is won....no one can do that...what if Malone breaks a hip in the shower with Stockton and can never play again ( god forbid ) or Payton just breaks an ankle....point being, we cant predict.

But not liking all Laker fans for that ONE picture...absurd...

I was watching the interview with Payton and Malone yesterday, and Gary Payton sounds so cocky, he really thinks this will be a cake walk. He was saying something like they would score 95 points between the 4 of them. Karl Malone would grab 10-11 boards and Shaq is going to run the floor all night with him.

I don't know about everyone else, but this while an upgrade, it is not as a major an upgrade as Lakers fans think. I still believe that come playoff time, the deeper teams, with younger players will run circles around the Lakers!

That's why the games are played; just ask Raider and Mets fans they will tell you. Nothing is guaranteed, look what $150 million bought the Yankees the last couple of seasons.

The Lakers will have a great regular season, but when the playoffs get here the Lakers will have so much pressure to produce a Championship, that they better do it! If not it will be hard to find excuses.
If I was the Lakers I would of went younger, because what is going to happen in a few years when it’s Kobe and no one else?

LAKERS ARE CHAMPIONS or whatever that thread is, almost any thread about Payton and Malone signing talks about surpassing the 70 win mark and sweeping the playoffs, saying the Lakers bench is deeper than others (when it's not...the starting lineup is better so the bench matters less, but the bench players aren't even starters for the Clippers, save maybe Fisher and Fox).....the only thread that wasn't about making predictions as to how the Lakers would clean up was ours, and that was about Gary Payton and the triangle, not even talking about how many games they'd win or whatever. It was a goo discussion, you gotta admit it...albeit an annoying one, to both of us.

But he never said that...and the Lakers ARE cocky and think it will be a cake-walk...teams' fans are usually representive of their team....look at Spurs fans. Generally gracious, not cocky, they like "boring" basketball, they're like the Spurs, who are the exact same way. Look at the Laker fans...extremely similar to Kobe and Shaq and Phil and now Payton. "We're gonna score 95 points," "The Sacramento Queens" (when the Lakers almost lost...) and so on...cocky, arrogant, and they think it's a cake walk...

Well, I am a Lakers fan but I like to be realistic and I said looking at things as a non-Lakers fan I would have to admit the possibilities of getting the championship the next season are over the limit. About the year after I do believe the Nets will get their chance or someone else.

I agree some guys (Lakers' fans) are annoying but that's why I asked if they would act the same way if it were the Spurs getting those guys. I saw a lot of threads about how the Spurs won and they did this and did that and still I don't get to hate the Spurs or their fans. I just find strange the reasons why you (anyone) have to hate fans who are excited by getting a better team, that's all. I don't consider they will play to break any record, in fact the thing that they haven't played together before might be a fact to bring conflicts, I do recognize all that but he just created a thread to say why he dislikes the Lakers fans, I'll tell you something now Travis, you will have to live with it cause this is fun and the Lakers will make sure you don't have any fun for a long time.

I also agree that the bench of the Lakers is not that good but notice that now the Lakers can sit 2 of their starters and still they have a good team there to compete with any other team. That what it was so good about the 89-90 Pistons, they could sit the guys and others would respond, that's what made the Spurs so great this last season, and knowing Malone & Payton, I wouldn't say they are not able to respond as well in any situation.

Ben knows his stuff and at least it doesn't bother me others calling the Lakers "Lackers" lol. I love calling Sacramento the Queens, . Anyway, the reason why I said he knows his stuff is because he truly knows the team to beat are the Lakers, not the Spurs anymore.

Yes the Spurs did pursue Kidd and O'Neal, but not just out of necessity, but more not to stand pat and of course they are one of the few teams who could afford these players. The Spurs were also trying to improve depth and replace the center position.................... but notice the players that the Spurs did go after would not have been temporary fixes.

I don't dislike all Laker fans, but I dislike the notion that if you don't like the Lakers or don't think they'll win, or don't think they're the greatest team in NBA history, you're automatically a hater. There's a difference between hating on a team and simpy having a different opinion.

I appreciate how Laker fans feel about anti-Laker sentiment, because I'm a Bulls fan and 6 years ago the blind hating and the blind fandom surrounded the Bulls. But I've also come to understand the other side's point of view as well.
