When will Darius Miles have a breakout season?

he is good player,i hope the breakout season is in upcoming season 03/04.he is good player,scores well,takes rebounds,and he is also doing very good dunks.he must playing hard,training hard, because he is talented player.he is one of my favourites.
forum people please write here what you think about darius miles too.

he will have a breakout season soon as he learns how to shoot a jumpshot! right now he can only dunk..and the freethrows arent good too as they should be! and he needs to bulk up too!

i dont think so,if he bulks up he will be slow.he can shoot a jumpshot vey well.he is good in defense too he´s record 8 blocked shots!!

he shot 41% from the field on driving to the basket.
he shot 59% at the line...

if d-miles adds a jump shot then his game would come on leaps and bounds coz teams would have abit more respect for his outside shot and not stand of him like they do now.

this is one of the stupidest things i have ever heard in my entire life.
if he bulks up, he will get stronger and can take on bigger guys. most very likely, he will not get slow. bulking up does not mean that he will turn into a fat moron, it means he will build up his muscles and get stronger.
his FG % average for his career is .456 and thats not too bad. however, all he does is take the ball to the basket and hes a pretty bad jump shooter. for a guy who takes the ball to the basket a lot, he should have a FG % of .500 or more. and blocking 8 shots in one game doesn't mean that hes a good defensive player. it was only in ONE game and his stats are pretty good but he only averages about 5 rebounds, less than one steal, 2 assists, and 1 block per game. and he really sucks at 3 pointers. he shoots less than .100 percent. his career average for points is under 10 points. i dont hate miles as a player but you are making him seem like michael jordan when hes just an average player right now. i hope he has a breakout season next year.

i think im more mature than you and everybody besides you can say that miles needs to bulk up a bit like 10-15 bounds and and he is doing dunks mostly and if he trains everyday hten he should not get slower if he bulks up a bit!

it seems like you hate him....i think he will be much better in 02/03 season ,he´s avarage will be 15.5 ppg .

im with the majority here. darius needs to develop something resembling a jump shot if he's going to have a breakout year. at least he has shown he has some basketball skill- he already is a pretty decent defender. he's still young so there's chance he could learn how to shoot a jumper.. or not..

By bulking up, nobody means swelling up to the extent of a Shawn Kemp or Oliver Miller. Bulking up in this case would just be adding some muscle to help his post game. It wouldn't make him slower, it would be a means of improving his game. Work on his jumpshot wouldn't go astray either.

And improving his work ethic, but the cavs say that this off season its gotten a lot of improvement(cuz he decide to play SL), that already something to begin with. And he does have to improve his jumper.

He's not going to anytime soon, especially with Ricky Davis, Lebron and Dwuan Wagner.

But that doesn't mean he can't be a good impact player? Yes he needs to work a little more on his jumpers and free throws.

He can put up 10 / 12 points per game, grab 7 + rebounds, get blocked shots and try to be a force defensively! Because he has the height, the long arms, the ups, the speed, and despite his slimming-ness, he's strong too.

about darius miles, i like him and i (this is the key word here) hope that he will have a breakout season, but like somehere already said he will be behind lebron james, ricky davis and wagner so i doubt it but you never know. He is acually an alright defencive player but he won't be on the defencive 1st-team. He has athlethism so he can be a good player who can get to the line but he sucks at free throws. :roll:

well Darius might and might not...it all depends on him...if he can work real hard this summer and practise his ft and extending his range he might finally prove himself worthy but i really think he souldn't come out of the high school to the NBA i think he should go to college and improve himself...well that's wut i think for all of the NBA players....It took Kobe 4-5 years to finally prove himself...well Kobe should have gone to college same for T-Mac,KG...they need to develope first then they can come to NBA....
