I'd rather watch Big Benji smack it so hard the ball deflates. Anyways Ben is a better blocker because he does it more consistently, plus he's 3-4 inches shorter than Duncan. You saying that Duncan's boring little blocks where he only blocks his man and they fall a few feet behind his man are fun to watch just makes me laugh. Benji runs over from the weak side and smacks the ball out of anyone's hands.

yea in a team like the Nets.

Duncan is taller than all the Nets, except Mutombo. You keep on saying finals record, but a) that doesn't make Duncan fun. (IMHO Duncan is the most boring player ever. I'd rather watch Mark Madsen...seriously)
b) That doesn't mean he is a better blocker overall. It was vs the Nets. With Duncan towering over them and with K-mart sick, and missing 20 shots, of course Duncan will get a gazillion blocks.

Anyhow, Duncan's blocks are boring, and the blocks have no power like Big Ben. You don't see Duncan SLASHING the ball...EVER. He just taps it or something. woohoo. so fun.
(I saw the finals, by the way, so I have obviously seen those "record" block shots in the finals...and what a boring finals it was...)

Benji's blocks are great, spirit lifters, but they're often worthless because they go flying out of bounds or too far out. Duncan blocks shots softly to keep them in play, often times, he or a teammate are right there to recover it. Duncan's just a smarter defensive player, thus he's a better defensive player. Benji's a great defensive player, and a great shot blocker. But he's no Tim Duncan.

I'd watch his championship dancing before I watch Timmy D.

I agree Duncan is a great shot blocker, but my pots were more referring to the "funness" of the blocks. Nobody wants to watch Tim Duncan block it, but Big ben has those awesome NBA Live-style blocks that are fun to watch. Sure they usually go out of bounds, but when it counts Ben knows how to keep them in bounds. Those big blocks usually don't come in the 4th quarter with the Pistons down by 1 and 7 seconds left. That's the time for the Tim-style blocks. NBA-Live style blocks are for the 1st and 2nd quarters to send the message "I'll block everything you throw up."

shouldn't wallace keep every one of his blocks from going out of bounds for the better of his team?

wallace is probably the league's best blocker coming from the weak side. big ben has massive hops as most great shot blockers have.

duncan seems to be more of a 'on the ball blocker', if there's ever such a thing. same with kirilenko, who seems to get a lot blocks just for putting his long ass arms up

i'd pick wallace if the choice was supposed to be made solely on entertainment value. but duncan gets the my nod

God, I hate those blocks...they're almost as bad as the blocks in the NBA2K series where 98% of them go flying out of bounds and into a camera...
