Who's the best free agent actually?

Postby Pirrimarzon on Thu Aug 23, 2007 3:26 am

There are some unsigned FAs in the league, but I think the most important one is James Posey.

Many people I've been talking about it say that Varejao may be the best available, even Patterson or Pavlovic.

Who's the best free agent for you?

Chris Webber is probably the highest profile free agent left on the market. Apart from him, I'd say James Posey, Mickael Pietrus and PJ Brown are the most noteworthy players who remain unsigned.

If we're taking players mulling a comeback into account then I'd say Reggie Miller.

C-Webb is he'd sign a veteran min contract, than Pietrus and Posey, the last one is Patterson, others - trash!

Varejao could be a decent low post presence with his toughness and work ethic.

Would take Charlie Bell over all of the above. Can play solid D, shoot the 3, play 3 positions and has shown consistency. Pietrus and Posey are my next picks. Posey is a good role player, Pietrus has a lot of potential but has yet to show any consistency. Patterson is a nutjob who needs the ball in his hands and minutes. C-Webb is skilled, but has little left in the tank.

I would take Anderson Varejao above all though to be honest.

I'm with Ty-land. Charlie Bell is the best player available. When Redd was out, Charlie bell consistently scored around 20ppg. And, like Ty said, he plays 3 positions, which makes him a fantasy basketball dream.

Since when does Charlie Bell play 3 positions? I know he's a combo guard, but I don't know if he's that versatile.
