have you noticed how players get more and more athletic. i mean now i can say that VC, J-Rich can just as high or higher then MJ. and Desmo mason and all the others. now thast that is happening u cannot say that the reason MJ scored so much was coz he could jump high. which is waht oscar robinson said "you call a player the greatest coz he can dunk a basketball?"

i know no on said it here, but just incase no one knew that what he said.
now kids in the playgound can do ur behind the backboard drive of dr.J, dunk with maybe both hand from the free though line ect.

Desmond Mason has about a 37-inch vertical...Mike's vertical was over 40 inches. When the Bulls worked him out he was able to get his entire hand over the square on top of the backboard. Not much has changed in terms of athleticism...some guys have it...some guys don't...but the guys that have it now don't have it significantly more then people of 7 or 8 years ago.

You might be getting confused just because the dunk contest has evolved.

...and I don't know where on earth you got the idea that kids on the playground can do Dr. J's up and under behind the glass and dunk with two hands from the free throw line. Someone has told you very wrong...

Not much has changed in terms of athleticism...some guys have it...some guys don't...

yeah! hasn't changed much! in the past, we also got spud webb, harold miner and dominique wilkins! they were all athletics...

well obviously some of u dont look up too many street videos, i for 1 saw a clip of a highskol kid dunking from far http://mannix.uh-hosting.co.uk/
have a look at this forum, not many talk but from the pics and videos from ther and other sites......

and that up and under move.... hell even i almost can do it..... i dont know about MJ's verticle but what im saying is that there are more guys with high verticle who just dont use them...

my point was that Oscar Robinson said that u call the best player coz he can dunk a basketball, he was talking about MJ, now, there are a tonne of players who just high but none have the same heart and desire as MJ had.

and the reason y they dont use it well it coz they have everythng....

MJs first contacs was something like 3mil, he got it exted later on. but same as karl malone barkly, if the league would agree not to give players such huge contrct if theyr are a certain age or even better if they were not good at the time, somehow it might work.

if milwaki would waive mason and he would get a small contract and no team picked him up then he'll come bak next year ready to be a superstar, same with darius mile and that other highskoler form clevland....
there is no need to work for it, its all guranteed...
