pretty interesting to know that 6 out of the top 10 teams are from the weaker conference, NJ looks good at 7 :)

I don't see how the Seattle Sonics are better than the Timberwolves and I still don't understand the love-fest for the Denver Nuggets.

The sonics were closer to the playoffs... but either way they have a much more rounded team, better players at every position except for obviously PF.

Anyway, Riot is back!? wtf?! sounds good

I don't think Charlotte deserve to be at #27. Of the bottom 8 teams in the East i see Charlotte one of the the better few barring no injuries.

Cleveland should be above Detroit and as Nick said Charlotte should definitely be higher.

I agree with top 5.....although, i'd put San Antonio #1 since IMO they are the most likely to win this year.

As far as opening rankings they look OK.

That is totally right, since they depend on players who tend to get injured and also do not have the best starting five imho.

Danny Granger might be a big factor, that is also correct ...

To be honest I really don't care where they put us. In fact I'd rather be down there then where we were last year at 2 or 3, because this team plays better when their underdogs. I know the Al trade hasn't gone through yet, but when it does could anyone really say that we are behind Milwaukee, the Lakers, Orlando and the Jazz?? No way.

The Sonics have had an awful off-season and have gotten worse this year. They could be the worst team in the division, even worse than Portland, this year.

I've already tried having this argument with him, there's no winning. Good to have you back captain America. Unfortunately, I'm out of here in 3 days, you should have made your return sooner.

Denver Nuggets: Gotten past the Kenyon Martin problem? Last I checked, that's still a current issue with them. He's pretty much stuck there because the only teams that would like him don't have anything they'd want to trade for him.

Cleveland Cavaliers: The article emphasizes how great this team is and puts them close to Detroit in the rankings, but this is still a one-man show with Lebron James doing just about everything. Ben Wallace wasn't a main factor in the Pistons winning the Cavs/Pistons series, and the team can still play well.

Still, Central Division is once again the one to watch. It's going to be interesting to see Cleveland and Detroit vie for the top, as everyone predicts, how the Bulls improve with Ben Wallace and the new additions, and how Indiana and Milwaukee hang around.

I really expect to see those power rankings look completely different halfway through the season. A lot of teams have changed, and a lot of them are hit and miss.

Am I the only one who thinks Miami won't be #1 this year? Yeah, Wade is like Jesus but Shaq's health is still the key.

Cough Suns #4 BS Cough :D

The love-fest for the Nuggets? Last time I checked they at least made the playoffs, so I think 13 is decent.

And no, we still havent put the K-Mart issue behind, GK still hasnt decided if hes gonna bench him and start Nene or let Martin start. After the series against the Clippers everyone wants K-Mart out of Denver.
