Your Dream Team

What is your dream team?

Code: Select all
C:
PF:
SF:
SG:
PG:
-
6th man:
Coach:

Here's mine.

C: Tim Duncan
PF:Kevin Garnett
SF: Shawn Marion
SG: LeBron James
PG: Steve Nash
-
6th man: Kobe Bryant
Coach: Mike D'Antoni

Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett would make the best defensive frontcourt in history. It also covers unstoppable inside scoring. Steve Nash controls the ball most of the time, and makes the decisions in running the offense at a high tempo pace in conjunction with coach D'Antoni. Shawn Marion is a glue guy who will be able to finish off Steve Nash's passes, rebound when needed, and just an all-round asset. LeBron James, understanding offenses, is the best fit for my SG. He has the talent and will to do just about anything, but he would also buy into his role to win. Him and Steve Nash also compliment eachother on the break. For 6th man, you'd want someone that would rack up the points. Bryant is perfect. A bit too selfish to fit into my Dream core, but he can read an offense to score better than almost anybody in the league, and would score at will off the bench.

I would have chose a better 3pt shooter than Lebron. I like your lineup expect I'd probably put Ray Allen in there... he'd have a field day with a Phoenix Suns type pace.

Hey yeah, i didn't think of 3 point shooting.

I suppose Duncan and Garnett's 18-22 ppg each would make up for it anyway.

PG- Sam Cassell/Jason Terry
SG- Ray Allen/Bonzi Wells
SF- LeBron James/Tracy McGrady
PF- Dirk Nowitzki/Al Harrington
C- Yao Ming/Brad Miller

Thats a team built to win. Its not just a star studded team of the top 10 players in the league, but its a group of guys that would fit well into roles with each other.

this team was made to run & gun. despite its lack of 3pt shooting, all 5 are good enough at it to make the open ones.

C - Duncan
F - Garnett
F - James
G - Bryant
G - Wade

aside from james, all of these players are pretty good defenders, so defense shouldn't be a problem. offensively, they lack the three point, but really, i can't imagine all of them going cold at the same time.

I'll take an all-2003 team  .

C-Darko Millicic
PF-Chris Bosh
SF-Carmelo Anthony
SG-Dwyane Wade
PG-Lebron James

6th man-Kirk Hinrich or Chris Kaman

You can see that my lineup is all the top 5 picks of the 2003 draft class. My starting lineup lacks a true point guard, but Lebron has the court vision and good enough to get away as the teams point. Wade can also share in the ball handling duties and maybe also carmelo. Darko will provide good shotblocking and bosh will also help out with probably 1.5 blocks per game or so. This team might not be able to handle a low post scorer like duncan, but there is enough firepower to outscore the opponent. My sixth man can either be Kaman (good shotblocker and rebounder) if you want to continue the picks in order  or Kirk Hinrich, as a good 2003 point guard that will come off the bench, also to help run the offense since like I said earlier, Hinrich will provide the one thing my team lacks in the starting lineup, PG.

It's kinda tough leaving garnett/brand out...but with nowitzski's performance...it would almost be blasphemus not to have him out. I leave shaq and duncan in the starting lineups cause defense wins ball games. I'd take that team against any of you people's dream team...cause i argue that it's also the most sensible team.

C - Dwight Howard
PF - Dirk Nowitzki
SF - Andres Nocioni
SG - Quinton Ross
PG - Kirk Hinrich

6th Man - Ben Gordon
Coach - Scott Skiles

Considering that the whole lineup consists of good, unselfish guys, it probably wouldn't have a lot of chemistry issues. Kirk Hinrich would distribute the ball and defend the perimeter, Ross would be the defensive stopper and his designation the allmighty swingmen of the world, Nocioni would bring some toughness and would really compliment Nowitzki with his style of play, Nowitzki would be there to score the points when needed and DH12 gives you the youth, athleticism and inside presence on both sides of the court.
