I don't like his attitude. :P It was kind of funny though when they played the Lakers because Devean George got him real pissed off so he started hogging and taking bad shots like his rookie year (and so they lost).

I don't really have an opinion about him, I don't hate him but I don't love him either.

Something about him bugs me though, not his off court stuff because that doesn't interest me, it's not his game either, it's just something.

At times he reminds me of Antoine for some reason, don't ask me why. Maybe I dislike him because of that. That he reminds me of Antoine. I don't mind Antoine either, so don't get me wrong.

I'm such a confused child. :(

I had the same thought.... Melo reminded me of Antoine too. He's not efficient, asks for a lot of money, not agreat leader, the funs love him, but ....

He's still young. He's got a lot of upsides though. Guess we'll see what happens.

i think he's a good player whose game and attitude still need to mature. i believe there is a backlash because of the olympics fall out with brown, his complaining in the playoffs and all star game, and lebron & wade having great years

but i think he's improved.

once george karl took over for the nuggets, anthony's fg% went up to 47. he stopped that look at the ground then rise up shot, took less 3's, and started to drive more.

this season it seems like he's taking the same attitude but you'll see those occasional bone head plays- like taking a shot with 8 seconds left with the game tied

this is one move that i don't understand....i mean, even recreational players know not to do that, why do pro's do that?

if the lane was open would you gor for it or wait 8 more seconds, for the next chance? It's all depends on the situation. If you did score that lay up at 8 seconds left, at least you have a chane to win, and the other team may or may not score with 8 seconds left. The other team may shoot a 3 the next position, but the chance of them scoring a 3 is less than a 2, which will tie the game, and 3 point shooters are easier to defend. If you are pro, sometimes you gotta take a risk. Again, it's depends on the situation.

Carmelo has potential, but he seemed to slip away last season from the likes of Wade, James and Bosh (I'll just add him in purely because of bias). He did put up better numbers with George Karl, but he needs to get more defensive intensity and his shot selection can be a bit iffy at times.

yer. like when they played the lakers at denver the lakers pressured him into making shots, when he could've passed it off. i think it was odom that got him real pissed off. then he started shooting from anywhere and the result was he missed time and time again.

He's fat and he has way too much pressure on him as LeBron's sidekick superstar. He isn't a great scorer and I never saw why he got the attention that he did when he left college. He wasn't the leader of that Syracuse team, McNammara was. Carmelo just took a lot of easy shots in college. The Antoine Walker comparison is perfect.

That's the word. But he isn't as fat as he seems. Actually, he got in a pretty good shape this season. I remember being astonished when the reports from the 2003 predraft camp said that he had only 8% BF, and he only lost weight from back then. But that doesn't change the fact that I dislike him. He just doesn't have that true superstar thing going on, you know what I mean? It's that difference between players like Antoine, Stackhouse, Glenn Robinson (...) and guys like Kobe and T-Mac. He's simply not the shit.
