The definition of PG didn't change, it's always been the same: win the basketball game.
"Star"bury has been a lot of teams and hasn't had much impact on their winning. Phoenix did better with Kidd, Nets are doing better with Kidd, and Phoenix is doing better with Nash, and Knicks were a joke last few years.
This may be the year he can redeem himself. Now with a big man Shaq called the future, a talented rookie 6'11" backup, and a 280 lb shot blocker as 3rd string, NY can't complain about lack of size anymore. They've got one of the best 3 point shooters in the league in Q-Rich and Crawford backing him up...Crawford would be starting in most other teams in the L. And now with the best X's & O's coach in the league, and a draft steal for a backup PG, Marbury is officially out of excuses.
If he doesn't deliver this year, he'll be branded a 2nd tier PG forever.
