You might want to add an "Other" option to that poll...For the sake of people like Indy. :)

last i checked vegas have the spurs with the best odds (+250)

followed by the heat & pistons (both +425)

check out http://betonsports.com/betting_lines.shtml#

since it's the offseason, they only offer future bets of course. some of the categories to bet on are pretty cool....

Spurs are still the team to beat. Their core of TD,Manu and TP is locked under contract until 2009, and with Greg Poppovich calling the shots it's hard to not see them as perennial title favorites, especially since they use the 1 megastar-2 stars- 5/6 role players - team concept system so well. All they will recycle till '09 is peripheral parts and the engine will keep rolling barring injury.

Heat. They came closed last season and now they are going to do one better and make it to the finals and win it from there. Of course, there is the defending champs Spurs.

At this point of the year, it's hard to narrow down. I think the Spurs, Suns, Pacers, Pistons and Heat will have the best chance. Right now it's hard for me to pick against the Spurs; not only are they the defending champs, Miami has made a move that will potentially cause a meltdown in team chemistry, Detroit's lost Larry Brown and the Suns look like they'll be losing a key player for little in return. That would make the Pacers the other favourites, though I'd give the nod to San Antonio due to experience.

its really hard to make a prediction because there are outside factors such as injuries, chemistry, coaching changes, management, etc... but looking at paper, san antonio, and indiana have the best chances because the core is the same and they have added pieces to help the core
PPL r a little feisty these days:D

Off topic: I predict that Duncan will have a major injury in 2007 along with Ginobili and possibly Parker. Spurs will end with the worst record in the league, win the lottery and pick Oden.

It's hard to predict now ehh..
cuz there might be more trades going on that affect the overall rating of a team during the season..

Bitter, bitter... j/k  Luck favors the powerful, perennially.

BTW, Reggie should make a Jordanesque comeback in case he gets to play in the Finals. Still no ring, though, with Duncan and Manu around.
