Not sure what you mean there. Are you saying Kobe's the only player to have earned the right to have input on personnel decisions?

It doesn't seem like LeBron's being too egotistical about the whole situation. He's simply indicated he'd be happy to share his opinions with management if they want him to be at all involved in the hiring of a new coach, GM, etc but wouldn't stand in the way of their decisions.

"With me being the leader of the team, I would love to have some input," James said. "If the new owners, new coaches ask my advice, I will give it to them. If not, I'll stand back and get ready for training camp."

"I don't know who's good and who's bad. I don't know too much about GMs. I don't know too much about head coaches, presidents, that's not my field," James said. "Later on down the line, later on in my years that will be. Right now, all I care about is players coming in. Great-minded players. Players that only care about winning."

Add to the fact that LeBron's been "the man" at Cleveland since day 1 because he had to be. Kobe still had Shaq lumbering around.

Of course Lebron should have input on what should happen in Cleveland. If they don't want him to leave by having a bad team, then they should ask for his input. All because he would mention something about helping the team out doesn't mean he is taking after Kobe at all. I'm just hoping people don't start trying to put labels on Lebron saying that he is doing this wrong or whatever, but he is basically being smart trying to say the right things and not anything like "This team wouldn't be nowhere if I wasn't on it." :lol:

Er...Kobe's rookie year was 7/1/1 compared to LeBron's 20/6/5. That's not really close at all. Kobe didn't achieve full potential til his 4th year, much like McGrady.

Harold Miner was also considered the next Jordan. That term was tossed around to anybody who could win a dunk contest.

I don't know what the fuss is about...LeBron better damn well care about who the team picks up...he's the team leader. It would be bad if he didn't care at all.

In the dynasty years MJ had that amount of power over transactions. He forced the bulls to cancel an agreed upon trade of Scottie Pippen for Tracy McGrady.
