found this on foxsports:

Andrew Bogut hasn't played a second yet in the L, but he's already talking smack. He was quoted in yesterday's Washington Post talking about his perception of the NBA and players' behavior: "There's no one I really hate, but Kobe had a demeanor of being very cocky," said Bogut. "What happened with Shaq ..."

If I had a chance to play with Shaq or Tim [Duncan], if they told me to buy them groceries, I don't care, I'd buy them groceries. It's a gift to play with somebody like that. Kobe is probably one of the guys that, everybody knows it, he's got that cocky arrogance to him, everything has to surround around him the whole time

i think he's a cocky bastard(hasn't played a second in the nba and he's already talking smack about arguably the best 1on1 player in the league right now).also it shoots down those lamar odom and the laker's pick for milwaukees no.1 so the lakers can take bogut. i don't think kobe wants to play for that idiot after he blows him off... :D

The Game posted a link to that a little while ago. I agree that it's tough talk for someone who hasn't even entered the league yet, though it's not as if those criticisms of Kobe Bryant haven't been made before.

I don't think that's cocky really.. he's showing people that he's got appreciation for the game, and he's not taking his career for granted. He will take full advantage of his opportunity... that's what he's saying in my eyes.

Just for that Kobe and lakers are gonna lay the smackdown on him and his teammates whenever they face eachother in the regular season. Noticed I said regular season because whoever chooses Bogut won't make the playoff :) unless he gets traded to a winning team :)

You have to realize that's probably in context. Some sports show probably asked him about those kind of players. A whole bunch of these kind of quotes are only there because they were answering a question truthfully. It's not like he called a press conference to say that right. Show your mind young Aussie.

Man, it's becoming so popular to bash Kobe, i think i'll have to start defending him.

It's not all mindless bashing though. Some of the criticism is fair and on-target.

i agree that some of its fair but for a guy that hasn't played a minute in the nba bashing a guy that has 3 championships(don't give me the crap shaq won it all because without kobe shaq would have none) and is a allstar year in and year out. id like to see how he does when he get's in the nba....

Well I won't get into the whole Shaq/Kobe thing here, but Shaq is one win away from competing for an NBA title without Kobe. I believe Shaq could have won a title without Kobe, but not without a fellow All-Star at his side.

I agree to an extent with what you're saying, but really it's no different to any of us passing judgement on players, coaches and teams. As far as I know, none of us are involved in the NBA in any such capacity and very few of us probably have a legitimate chance at making the NBA or reaching the level of the people we criticise.

I'm a Kobe fan but unlike some I'm not going to have a cry about this. Did he say anything at all that was inaccurate? Kobe's cocky and arrogant, we know this... it's alot better than some of the shit people have been posting here about Kobe and not only have they not played a minute in the NBA, unlike Bogut they never will.

Yeah I'd reckon Bogut would have to be #2... he'll probably do it too. Admittedly the Lakers will lose by 30 and Kobe will shoot 6/26 but he'll dunk on Bogut.

No 1 - Shaq
No 2 - Bogut
No 3 - Wade
No 4 - Ray Allen
No 5 - Yao Ming
No 6 - Chucky Atkins (when he gets cut)

the list goes on...

not if Bogut plays for Bucks or Hawks, Lakers should win even if Kobe does shoot 6/26.

He'll just have to buy groceries for Kobe then.

I like this kid. He doesn't deserve to be #1 pick (that's another story), but sh!t, his 'best case scenario' sounds excellent. A rich man's Vlade Divac? Yummmie. And he's a Kobe-hater. It's just getting better and better .

I don't think it's cocky for Bogut to say that, but I like how he has an opinion and doesn't care. Great players have done it, and everybody is entitled to an opinion, although it may not be professional. Maybe I'm biased, but it's refreshing to hear a player other than Shaq to say Kobe's cocky.

I'm liking Bogut already. Top it off with the fact he's a C/PF, it couldn't get better. Well, unless he can throw down some nasty dunks a la Shaq/Stoudemire, till then it doesn't get better.
