What position should LBJ play next season?

Either SG or SF, whichever gets him the ball more if the PG decides passing to him is the best option (if he manages to get open either outside the three point line or popping out somewhere inside the paint for an easy basket). If he gets the ball outside the three point line, then he'll decide whether to drive in or pass. On the fastbreak, give it to LeBron, and he'll be the playmaker or the finisher

Well I voted sf but why not have him play PF and he can play center the season after ohh and maybe he can be the ball boy and coach the year after that.

I on the other hand would have him play small foward because that's the position where he would have the most advantage.

PG only if he plays a 2 man game with Z with some pick & rolls, but i hope not because that's really basic basketball and easy to stop in the playoffs (ask Karl Malone & Stockton how many championships they won with that). I also don't think Z is athletic enough to play that 2 man game fast enough...you need someone more like Amare and less like a brick wall.

I think he's best off playign SF/SG in a system where the they run some screens for him and a PG passes to him either under the basket or out on the perimeter.

Ie...Sonics offense (he did say his choice for coach is Nate McMillan).

He's said he wants to be a SF, his coaches have said SF fits him best, and he's going to be a SF. That's why the Cavs are looking to get a SG, not a SF so they could move LJ to SG. That's also why Newble who is a SF played SG this season.

I consider him a swingman with playmaking abilities before being a big point guard, so I agree that he should be playing at shooting guard or small forward, preferably the latter.

yes SF seems like the best position for him. Height wise it is good for him and skill wise too. Grant Hill was a great passer and ball handler as a SF and still scored quite a few. Let someone like Michael Reddd or some free agent who can shoot the 3 well play SG.

A SF has to do the inbound pass in most of the situations, so he can't do too much in the final moment.
After TimeOut and back to the game, James is the one doing the passing if he's a SF. So he can't do too much before the ball is pass out.

In his first season he played the PG position for the most part.
In his second season he played the SF for the most part and alternating between the PG and SG positions.

What if he plays the SG next season? that way he could get the most out of each position and find out which is the best position for him. He gets plenty of experience in each position and by the time he enters his 4th season he should have acquired the best of each position and played at his most natural position and become the monster he is destined to be pretty soon.
