MPV as in....? Multi Purpose Vehicle...?

I'd go with a Ford Maverick...

If you meant MVP, which you probably did, I'd like Dirk to get it but it's unlikely. Plus Steve Nash would be considered way before Amare. LBJ no way, especially if the Cavs complete their fallout and miss the post-season.

Why does everyone see Nash as MVP? I mean all he does is play the PG position how it has to be done, that's all.

my vote goes to shaq daddy. Without shaq , miami may have wade but honestly , phoenix has amare and marion . shaq makes you keep an eye on players that no1 would even consider to be good.

yes, phoenix had amare, marion and marbury (somewhat) last year and look where they ended up. however, it really is hard to decide. i think it would be great this year if they handed out co-mvp awards

How's that any different than Shaq or MJ or Magic?

My prediction is Shaq because he's put in MVP quality performance for years now, this is Nash's breakout year.

man people stop bringing up lebron name in this.. he isn't MVP muchless playoff material yet. If he is up there, then Kobe is too, since they both have "the numbers", and the cavs this year record isn't much better than last year's.
no i am not hating on 'bron, but this finish by the cavs kind of shows he isn't fully ready for all the challenges. He is only 20 years old!

i didn't want to pick lebron either. don't think he's there yet. just needed someone to put in my fifth spot. as for the prediction, he has a chance since he's very marketable and the media loves him and they get to pick the mvp :x

KG will win it again. At least he will if the MVP is decided the same way in real life as it is in NBA live 2005. KG and TD win almost every year regardless of how their teams does.

Actually I think it will be Snaq.

Id say Kevin Garnett. But if you look at what The Big Ticket did last year, and then this year, then you really have to consider the success of the team.

SO sadly, even though Kevin is the MOST efficient player to play the game in years, he wont be this years MVP.

Nash however may be one. Media boom about Nash MVP was highest during the all-star break. Some time before LeBron was even considered, but Cleveland Cavalosers have really shown now that they arent a team to consider and LeBrons Kobe style he has pulled last few games have been bad.

Nowitzki is one to consider, howeverits going to be tough. Winning MVP as this fundamental basketball player is not so easy if youre not in the media attention so much. Duncan has done this of course, but if Ive got to pick between Duncan and Dirk Id go with TD.

Shaq is a definite MVP candidate. You can see what he has done to this Miami team. Miami doesnt play nearly as good without Shaq on court, and though Shaqs numbers are less than previous years, he is one helluva teammate now and damn great asset. He SHOULD be MVP, but sadly he wont get it.

From those "lottery picks" theres also Iverson, whos doing his best year ever, and Vince Carter, whos doing his best year ever if you just consider Nets games.

MVP this year will be Stephen John Nash.

By that logic John Stockton should have been MVP countless times or am I mistaken here?

I don't think Lebron will get it at all mainly because he failed to let the Cavs reach the playoffs, (IF THEY LOSE THEIR OTHER GAMES). As for what huk is saying, Nash did so much for the Suns that if you can't look at their record, his assist numbers and how much he means to that team, then you haven't seen too much of the season. Nash is just as valuable to Phoenix as Shaq is to the Heat. Shaq makes his teammates better, Nash makes his teammates better. Yes, Shaq improved lower caliber players ppg such as Haslem and Rasual Butler, but Nash turned Stoudemire into an MVP canidate of his own and raised Johnson's potential of becoming a possible all-star if he wasn't on a team with star players.

Huk, John Stockton put up great numbers as well, but he did have Karl Malone and the Jazz always did great when those two were together. The Jazz didn't make a major improvement each and every season because they were so consistent. Suns went from a lotto team to the number 1 team in the league and that's why Nash recieves so much credit.
