Nash left the game in the 2nd quater.
Q jacks up 17 three's when Nash is playing, and not Nash being out makes him only jack up 8 three's, wouldn't that be a good thing?
Look at it this way, the Suns have no other playmakers. When Nash is out JJ plays PG, JJ and Barbosa would both be considered above average passers at SG, not even good, just above average.
An above average passer/playmaker at SG is a bad passer at PG. Barbosa can't bring the ball up against pressure, and isn't a playmaker, though he's much better than Nash defensively, offensively he's not even as good as Milt Palacio in terms of Pg duties.
Why do you think the Suns didn't win last season?
1) The Suns had no PG after Marbury left
2) Amare missed 27 games last season
3) The Suns weren't really playing to win after a while, they were already talking about the draft
4) They had above average SG's playmakers running their offense
What's the difference this season?
1) Amare has continued to improve this year, he's moved up to being average defnesively and has fine tuned his offense and shooting, so he's better all-around
2) The Suns have an actual PG with Nash, and a good one too
3) The Suns got Quentin Richardson
The Suns have players who can create their own shots, but not guys who can consistently create for other players on the team. They needed to invest in a veteran PG, or should've gotten someone who can be a playmaker.
Look at the difference Marko Jaric playing more like a PG has done for the Clippers, Luke Ridnour on the Sonics, Kirk Hinrich, TJ Ford on the Bucks, Brevin Knight on the Bobcats. No playmaker, at least an average to good one and you team will not be able to do too much.
