Official Lakers-Heat Christmas War!!!

Postby Micchy_boy on Wed Dec 22, 2004 2:52 pm

well just want to know who will win this great battle.

i might be bias but i go with Lakers. just always have faith with my favorite team but i know its not easy to win a game against the not-so-MDE Shaq and a rising star in Wade.

but if shaq continue with his (fake) injury and try not to play, then i think Lakers will win this.

in my mind, Lakers will loss this one but in my heart, Lakers will win. i hope so...

how about you...

Lol, of course! I like the fact that the game is getting attention, however espn is promoting this like the collapse of the nWo, calling it a divorce and shit. Can they ever do anything without sensationalising it to the point of bs?

I don't know which team will win. But I'm sure (and most of us are) that Kobe will try to dunk on Shaq, and possibly try to block him...and Shaq will try to dunk harder than usual.

True, it's probably not going to happen although i'd like to see it.
But the truth is that when Kobe drives past his defender he'll see Shaq in the corner of his eye and has to settle for a midrange j

Kobe might go for a dunk on Shaq, but I think IF he goes trough the lane and takes off then he eventually adjusts his dunk mid air to make a circus layup.

Lakers will win, but neither Kobe or Shaq will dominate. I think it will be all about the role players.

I have a gut feeling the lakers will win that game... You guys can quote me on that.

Also, Kobe's response to Shaq's corvette comments
"I don't think I'm a Corvette," Bryant said. "I'm 230 [pounds] now. I'm like a mixture of a Corvette and a Hummer."

I'll go with Lakers. Kobe has so much more to prove, i just hope he doesn't over try and force things.

The point that wins me over is that Odom and Butler played for the Heat, they'll want to have a good game too!

i think lakers will win...shaq will try to show everyone how much he values TEAM more than himself and kobe will probably get a triple double to prove he can play team ball and still be the leader.

i also would like your picture to come true Dre...although i think kobe will most likely force the situation to happen..and he may get hurt in the process.(i dont mean from shaq - just from trying too hard)

I'm taking miami. If odom was in better form i wouldnt be able to pick. Shaq and Kobe might cancel each other out, but shaq has dwayne wade and eddie jones. Kobe has Odom and Butler, you tell me who you'd rather have as your supporting cast?

I'm picking Miami as well - they're the team on a roll at the moment and have been the better team throughout the season.

I'm picking the Lakers, Kobe will guard Wade and do his best to take him out of the game. Then what is left of the HEAT? ONly Shaq....and he's not enough.....

With this, Kobe can prove that 1) he's better than Wade and 2) Shaq alone wouldn't win anything

Am I too optmist...maybe

As much as I love LA, Miami will win this match up.

Shaq & Wade is like Shaq & Kobe. Wade has just taken in Kobe's spot.

As has been mentioned, Shaq + Wade > Kobe + Odom.

As far as I remember, the jinx stopped working some time last year.

the not-so-MDE Shaq

Say what?

(fake) injury

Atleast Shaq shows up to play when it counts. Remind me where Bryant's 40 point games were in the Finals. Oh wait, I forgot, he was under pressure because of his rape case, right? Oh noes, he was too tired from chasing Richard Hamilton all over the court.

Pff, fake injury or not, he's there to play when it counts most.

I've already jinxed the Bulls by talking about the five game winning streak, the Heat should be safe. Mind you, it hasn't been very effective since the Heat/Hornets series.

Let's see, Lakers have someone to guard Wade => Kobe, who can SHUT him down. Heat don't have anyone to guard Kobe, Eddie Jones is not adequate enough. If Heat play their normal lineup that includes Jones and Wade then they'll be troubled. Atkins can burn Jones off the drive, Kobe can postup Wade, or drive, or shoot over or whatevere he wishes which would leave Jones on Butler. As far as PF's go Odom beats out Haslem and then there's Shaq.

I just don't see Shaq winning this one by himself, granted that Kobe will guard Wade.
