Bobcats

Was just looking at the preview for the Bobcats vs Pistons game and was very surprised too see that the Bobcast have 8 players averaging over 10 points a game

Bogans - 14.8
Brezec - 13.8
Wallace - 12.2
House - 12.2
Smith - 11.7
Hart - 10.8
Kapono - 10.3
Okafor - 10.3

Is that the highest over 10 point averages in the league ?

Probably. They have no star player so they have a "share-the-ball" mentality.

Looks like another close one against the Pistons for the Bobcats.

23-22, bobcats up with a minute to go in the 1st quarter.
Keith Bogans has 11 points and Brevin Knight already has 7 assists.

They better win this one, they've put down so many close games (eg: pistons and jazz game). Brevin and Emeka are dominating though. Bobcats up 71-54 nearing the end of the 3rd.

Gerald Wallace scored 17 points in Charlotte's 91-89 victory Tuesday over Detroit.

Does anyone know if a first-year team has ever beat the reigning NBA champs before?

Okafor scored 10 of his 22 points in the third quarter as the Bobcats snapped an eight-game losing streak with a 91-89 rout of the Detroit Pistons and became the first expansion team since 1971 to defeat the defending NBA champions.

Seems Like Bad Karma for Pistons... Hope it will continue

But seriously, Bobcats did a fine job.
Detroit missing Big Ben, which in my opinion the heart an soul of this team

The win was the first by an expansion team over a defending NBA champion since the 1970-71 season.

so, no i don't think the raptors did, unless the nba.com people are confused :D

They beat them once during the 95/96 season (their inaugural, "expansion" year), but that year the Bulls recaptured the title - the Houston Rockets were the reigning champions during the season, not Chicago.

So that means they beat the Bulls, but the Bulls weren't defending champions.

O yea... I forgot that the Bulls weren't the defending champs that year... but come to think of it, I think the Raptors beat the Bulls twice that year as well
